Minecraft Build of the Week 5
Wow. Ever go to find out about the anime for a (COMPLETELY NSFW) opening sequence and find yourself two hours later watching Dragonball Z Abridged and have no idea how you got there? No? Yeah, me either.
Anyway, this week's build is aptly described in its Minecraft Forum thread title: "things but really big". That is to say, if it wasn't obvious already, Minecraft objects recreated on a large scale. They're by a few different people, so I'll credit as we go along.
This first one is an enchanting table, by mgunit25. Not bad, but not quite accurate, either. I do really like that he's placed an actual enchanting table where the book would go on the giant version.
Second is a crafting bench, by Allison3! You know, I'd never really thought about what those markings on the sides of the crafting bench are. They're tools? Go figure, they sure are! This build also comes with:
An interior! I agree with what a commenter said - I just found my new house!
Dirt/gravel/sand/ice blocks by kebapmanager. Herp derp. Actually, they look really nice all floating above the ocean like that.
I wonder what texture pack that is? The ice looks great.
An extremely slick fence by Ar7ific1al. I think this is my favorite of the giant item builds. This one also has an interior, as you can see. This is the only screenshot of this one that I'm featuring here, but there are more in the thread.
An isolated square of rails by BlackHawk_42. It's simple, but spot-on. I'm not certain why I like it as much as I do.
A compass, by DeathToAllButMetal. I really love this one! It looks fantastic!
A redstone torch and wire (also a truly impressive mess of TNT damage) by FredUnderscoreSeven. Fantastic! I know I say that about a lot of things, but this is quality work!
Giant pistons by OSX2000! He's... well... pretty right that the cobble texture turned out fugly, but the piston tops and the general dimensions are awesome!
And to close it out, a giant duck chicken duck by DeathToAllButMetal! This one made me laugh out loud. Clear proof you shouldn't antagonize chickens in any game!
Thanks to all the builders that contributed to this thread! There are more items in the thread that I didn't feature here, so I highly recommend that you check it out!
