Story time-Yes he had a hole in his ear and yeah he kinda had an interesting loft/cat/beer smell to him but he was still my Big Ted. One of the only things my mum and dad bought as parents together. They seen him at a car boot sale and no-one else wanted him (I guess even then he didn't have that sparkly new toy look) but that was perfect for our family in fact that's just how we liked them and even chose our animals by looking for strange or pathetic (Ok off topic but u get fit I'm sayin). Anyways he became part of the family and for years he really did seem so big and perfect for cuddling into to read books together. As i grew up I did reglur teddy downsizing but never big Ted. However when the time came for me to move I asked mum if he could stay with her...he did. Unfortunately neither of us had the luxury of big fancy houses any more and will always remember my granny being completely boggled about why we would clutter up the place with this disheveled bear....but we knew. Know matter where i lived mum always looked after big ted at hers. In my last time with mum we got to live together and big Ted even had his own rocking chair in the sitting room! I love how mum never once questioned or tried to get rid of him. She was just like me or rather me lyk her and that make me happy and so does big Ted. So I'll find away to get him new insides and maybe even a wee makeover. I know that's what mum would of done! #bigted #teddys #story #instagood #tradition #mum #childhood #memories #gianteddy #bigbear #childrens #storytime #bigkid (at Tollcross, Glasgow)
