Petrified Forest National Park has several easy trials. We hiked four of them in an afternoon. Blue Mesa trail had beautiful hues of purple badlands with a few logs mixed in. Crystal Forest trail had the most variation of colors. It was very interesting to see the color of the petrified logs match the soil where they are located. Long Log trail goes through one of the largest concentrations of petrified wood in the park.
