A #GiantSequoia burns from the top down spewing sparks and branches the size of trees in the #LongMeadowGrove at the #WindyFire Access to these sequoia groves has been needlessly burdensome due to the #ParkService stonewalling journalists and photographers over what they say are safety concerns. We have seen way worse many times. After five days @stuartpalley and I gave up on getting photos of the #GeneralSherman tree and rerouted to a fire controlled by the USFS. We had to cut our way both into and out of (second slide) sequoia groves by removing 50 down trees and a dozen large boulders from the road yesterday.
