This is precisely what the universe conspired for Gladstone Taylor's KingSun: The Testaments of Sunlight and Water over the course of its first year. When the man called Giark (Digital B Records producer-turn-artist) acquired his own copy of the book, the result was only one thing: a big tune! The son of pioneer dancehall producer Bobby Digital, Giark has himself produced tracks for the likes of Kabaka Pyramid ('Phenomenon'), Daniel 'Bambaata' Marley ('Maintain') and Chronixx ('Iyah Walk'), helping to stoke the Reggae Revival fire of a generation on the rise. Giark has known Gladstone personally for some time and fondly refers to him as a "country man come a town" who encountered the capital city and saw "how it run." The singer admits that he was eager to read his bredrin's perspective and was also willing to use his more popular medium of music to help boost attention for a literary artist who he respects to the max. "I had the book for like four, five days and me never read it," Giark said. "The moment me start read the book, me just start laugh.
