△ + How does Daigo (not Steven) feel about the champions, including himself?
ask my character invasive questions, he’ll rate it out of 10 and answer
“Well. Let’s start with Hoenn. Steven Stone is a steel-type user, now retired, the paparazzi has a field day with him… I don’t know what’s so charismatic about him. Is it the suit? Or the specialisation? He doesn’t even battle these days. He’s a figurehead.
“Mikuri, now – he’s a triple threat: Contests, battles, and leadership. A good candidate for Hoenn, really. I wouldn’t prefer seeing anyone else with that cape around their shoulders.”
He paused. Hoenn came to mind the easiest, but the other regions were a blur to him. He remembered the spiky-haired guy from the Indigo League, and then he drew a blank. Shit.
“I honestly don’t remember who was in charge of Isshu. The same goes for Alola. Was it a girl? No? Fuck, I don’t care.
“So, Kanto, uh… Lance, was it? Yeah, probably. Dragon-type specialist, capes, the hair… Isn’t he sort of a show-off? ‘I, Lance the dragon master,’ and all. Probably needs a break; he looks so serious all the time.
“Johto – hang on. Kanto and Johto shared a league. That leaves…
“Kalos. That actress with the expensive hairstyle. Her name – her name … a flower’s name? Carnation? Oh, Carnet.”
He fell silent at that point. He didn’t really know what to say about her. That was she was famous? That she was popular even amongst non-trainers? That she and Mikuri would probably get along really, really well when it came to fashion sensibilities?
Shrugging, he decided to say what he knew, limited as it was.
“There was some show that documented her battling style. She tries to surprise challengers with mega evolution, or something like that.
“And no, I didn’t forget Sinnoh. I think their champion is probably gallivanting around world, trying to evade her fans while catching up on the hottest new gossip, something like that. I wonder what she’s doing right now.”
Honestly, what were the champions up to? It wasn’t like he kept track of the news.
“What a troublesome question. A ten.”
