I gave a Gibson Epiphone Les Paul Junior Model electric guitar to my youngest daughter, Saki Bianca. She wanted an all-black guitar that wasn't pointy like a Strat. Plus, I gave her a cute guitar strap that is black with hotpink polka dots. I bought this Gibson Epiphone Junior Model electric guitar used for a good price at a pawnshop while I was visiting family in the States. The finish (paint) was in fairly good condition when I found it, and there wasn't any hardware missing. However, I am not a fan of its bridge/wrap-around tailpiece/stopbar. Setting the action was simple and straightforward, but setting the intonation wasn't. In fact, I had to add a shim to the base of the neck heel to get the proper scale length for the strings. After doing that I was finally able to set the intonation (12th fret tuning) properly. That was the first time I ever had to do that. I wonder if this is a flaw in the design or a flaw in its construction. I prefer the Tune-o-matic and/or Nashville style bridges and tailpieces because they are more adjustable, but I suppose they are more expensive. Another thing that makes this guitar less expensive it that it is made of plywood. Of course there is nothing bad about plywood regarding the guitar's tone (sound) or performance (playability). Plywood is simply a cheaper material than using a large piece of actual wood. Based on the serial number on this Epiphone, it was Made in China apparently in 2003 October at the Sae Jung Plant. Very interesting I think. #gibson #epiphone #gibsonepiphone #lespaul #lp #juniormodel #lespauljunior #lespauljuniormodel #epiphonejuniormodel #guitar #electricguitar #usedguitar #pawnshopguitar #beginnerguitar #SaeJung #Madeinchina #ギター #エレキギター (at Okinawa Prefecture) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9nq1ZxHsbd/?igshid=2a9pn1w2g2xg
