Here is where Girl’s Day took off into the mutha fucking stratosphere. Homegirls brought it the fuck home. They leveled up, glowed up, and no one was ready for it. None of us deserved it, but hot damn were we glad it happened. The outfits THE OUTFITS (but in a good way this time). The suspenders with the choreo, I AM DYING. The blazers, so chic and so iconic. So, the song still has that “Oppa please notice me” hint, but Yura’s rap delivery has enough bite that I’ll ignore it.
It’s a tie. Sojin! Hyeri! I honestly could not decide. Maknae fucking snatched us all here. Her ponytail gives me life to this very day. Her eye makeup was sharp enough to pierce MA SOUL. Her passionate delivery with just enough attitude blew haters to the left. Sojin looks drop dead gorgeous this era. Hyeri’s innocent sexiness put her over the top. We all KNEW Sojin could pull off sexy better than anyone on planet earth; Hyeri was a tad unexpected. Add in a much older boyfriend scandal and Hyeri had everyone shook this era. Sojin looked SO happy onstage, like she was finally doing a concept she was comfortable with and she fucking nailed it. Sojin was a whole meal and like 5 snacks as well. Minah looked like heaven, but sometimes she struggled with the more sexy aspects, as if she weren’t really sure of herself as much as she was in the more aegyo and girlish eras. But her vocals DANG, I am amazed, constantly, at her voice in this song. Yura looked like perfection and her HAIR OMG it’s amazing, all the wrongs of her hair in 2012 were righted. And her role in the MV! BURY THAT CHEATER YURA! Show! Him! What’s! Good!
