✨Happy New Year!✨
Thank you all for sticking with me and my sims this year! I hope 2024 is the year we all need it to be ❤
Close-ups under the cut:
After dinner that night, Gideon approached Ryan dressed up in his winter gear, taking her hands into his own.
Gideon: Would you join me tonight for Laika’s afternoon walk?
Ryan: Uh, sure, Gid. Let me get my sweater.
Gideon: Would you like to look at them with me again?
Ryan: Always.
All Ryan could hear was the muffled excitement of the person on the other line as Winnie's face lit up.
Winnie: Of course, I'm gonna be there! I wouldn't miss it!
Ryan: So...what was that about?
Winnie: It was Gale - they just found out San Myshuno Geekcon and Newcrest Geekcon were just scheduled for the same week - that means two whole days of all things cosplay and video games and GeekCon! They said if I could get my ticket, they would handle the hotel! I'm so excited!
The hardest part - saying goodbye. Their visit felt like it came to an end faster than she liked but she had so much fun on this trip - really, everyone did! She pulled Gideon into a hug and could barely bring herself to let him go.
Ryan: Alright, hurry up! It's my turn!
Ryan pulled her close and tried to lower her voice so that only Winnie could hear.
Ryan: You got this. Whatever happens - call me. I want to be there for you, okay?
Winnie: Thanks, Mom. I will.
Winnie: *in Komorebigo* I'm staying with them for the rest of their visit, so I'll see you in a couple days. Thank you so much for the lesson.
Itsuki: Anytime, Winnie. Enjoy the rest of your visit.
With that, he ran off in the direction of the ski-lift and Winnie was left trying to keep her parents focused on dinner and less on their questions about what was really going on between her and Itsuki - which was nothing!
Ryan barely had time to ring her little dinner bell before the whole family began filling their plates and taking their seats around the table. Everyone dug into the meal and went on about how great it was - a normal thing during the holidays if Ryan was cooking!
Winnie: Hey! I think I did a pretty good job, too!
Ryan: *chuckles* You were a great sous chef, Win!
