"Nothing personal, just a game. Which one are you again? I didn't kill you, did I?"
where: a music lounge when: 2 March 1983 who: Bertram Aubrey and Gideon Prewett ( @prwttgdnn )
Bertram struck a deal with his manager. She allowed him to reject all and any opportunities to perform for Valentine's so that he could celebrate his birthday. But in return, he has to say yes to every gig she'll give him come March. Since the musician was determined to spend Valentine's with Dirk, he had no choice to agree.
March finally came and the first of many gigs was during a Wednesday night at the music lounge. While it was the first of many for the month but it was nothing he hasn't done before. Bertram finished his set with relative ease.
The high from finishing a job well done was great and all, but the anticipation of knowing this was just the start to his bust March got him craving for a drink. Strutting towards the bar, his eyes caught a fellow sitting beside an unoccupied chair all alone. He was feeling a little bit magnanimous that night so he gestured towards the bartender to take both of their drinks. "Rough day?" he asked.
Linnea sat on the fire escape watching the building across the road. Taking note of everyone that entered and left the apartment block whilst occasionally sipping from her flask of blood. Stakeouts weren’t Linnea’s favourite part of being a bounty hunter but they were necessary, especially when the target was proving to be rather hard to find. It should have been a simple case, the person in question was merely guilty of a few speeding tickets they hadn’t paid. Linnea rarely took the cases that were so easy, but occasionally she did to keep her employees happy.
With a sigh, Linnea shifted in an attempt to stretch her limbs when something caught her eye. Despite the darkness of the apartment, Linnea spotted movement by the window. Linnea hadn’t spotted the occupant’s return but perhaps she had missed it. Jumping down from her perch Linnea headed towards the building and made her way up the person’s apartment. Knocking on the door Linnea waiting patiently, she wasn’t about to say who she was. That would give them time to sneak out the window.
When no one came to the door Linnea quietly broke the lock on the door. Linnea wasn’t technically allowed to do such things, but that didn’t stop her. Especially, when she’d spent a ridiculous amount of time chasing someone who was guilty of speeding. Entering the apartment Linnea scanned for signs of movement, she could hear someone moving about. Linnea doubted she could hear them at all if she didn’t have supernatural hearing. “You’re going to have to hide better than that.”

their mission was simple. get the compromised informant and bring him to safety. — okay, so maybe the mission wasn’t that elementary since there were obvious risks involved, such as: death eaters finding them, or their informant getting cold feet and sabotaging everything they worked so hard for at the last second. the list could go on, really. however, benjy felt as though he had control of his abilities and that he didn’t need gideon tagging along. but alas, the man volunteered. and that’s why both men were pushing through the crowded streets towards the desired hotel lobby in question. “ ---y’know, i see through this whole thing right? you just volunteered to make sure i don’t do something stupid ” benjy muttered, throwing prewett a knowing look. “ but i’ll let it slide just this one time since it’s you. ” // @gid-prewett

Mid-March Gideon Prewett’s flat { @gid-prewxtt }
Ivy could barely see straight for the tears that were pouring onto her cheeks. She prided herself on being a strong woman, one who was never over-emotional. Not that she saw emotions as bad, of course. It was healthy to cry when one needed to. But she wasn’t melodramatic, didn’t tend to let her emotions rule her. But lately, it seemed it was only her emotions that were ruling everything she did, every decision she made. After all, wasn’t it her emotions that had suckered her into getting involved with Orion? And not wearing her mask in that fateful mission, a decision that ensured that Molly would find out the truth? And in her decision to seek Molly out before she was ready and make her talk to Ivy?
No, her emotions were not her friend, not now. And neither was Molly. Molly’s disappointed look seemed burned in her mind, her uncharacteristically harsh words rang in Ivy’s ears. They had bickered plenty of times in their many years of friendship, but they had never really fought. Not like this. Molly didn’t get mad, not mad like she was now. She got annoyed, or disappointed, or frustrated. But not mad. Not with Ivy. If she was really this mad, it meant something. It meant something big, and something bad.
Ivy didn’t know where to go, who to turn to. Molly was the one she would turn to at times like this, but more and more lately, she hadn’t been able to, and she certainly couldn’t now. How had she not seen before now the wedge that Aversio had been putting between them even before Molly knew? Was losing her best friend, the only real family she had left, worth avenging her father’s death over?
Ivy thought that she didn’t know where to go or who to turn to, but she must have on a subconscious level, because when she turned on her heel to apparate, still crying, she appeared in front of Gideon’s flat. Of course. Gideon would understand. He knew exactly how she felt. He knew why she had made the decision to join Aversio--he had been pushed to do it for the same reasons (well, mostly). He understood how much it hurt to lie to Molly, how much it would hurt to face her disappointment. Barely holding herself together, she knocked on the door to his flat, desperately hoping he would be home.
Muse: Gideon, ICU nurse who likes to stealOpen to: m/nb Plot: Gideon recently came out to his family and lied about being in a relationship, he didn't say with who insert y/m his long time friend, fake relationship hijinks around the corner. He doesn't tell y/m the plan at first.
"Question..." Gideon started after sitting down in front of his friend. He's been open about his sexuality with his friends for decades now, he doesn't bring his personal life up at work but the people that Gideon wanted to know, knew and that was the only thing that mattered to him up until a few days prior. "You enjoyed those dishes my Tete made that I brought over a few months ago, right? Because she's back in the country and my family is having a get together, my mother requested your presence."
where: The Great Hall when: May 30, 1976, Supper time who: Fabian and Gideon Prewett
Fabian was still dazed as he made his way from the Headmaster's office to The Great Hall. It was Professor Flitwick who came to him earlier that day and said that Dumbledore wanted to meet with him in his office. The professor assured that it was nothing serious but that did nothing to ease his nerves. Did he hear about him experimenting new spells with Gideon and Edgar and how it usually ends up being a catastrophe? If he did, which one? His brother was no help either. When he shared the news that he was called to Dumbledore's office during lunch, Gideon was ecstatic. Finally, the older brother got in trouble. The tables have finally turned.
Now the meeting was done and Fabian didn’t know what to feel. Whatever he was expecting, it wasn’t that. On the one hand, he was excited. If he does well, this will put him in the path that he’s been dreaming of. But on the other hand, he was apprehensive. One mistake could cost him his future.
Gideon was the one whom he was on the way to see now. The older Prewett promised that he'll tell him how it went. Instead of going straight to his usual seat in the Ravenclaw table, his feet carried him towards the Gryffindors. He found his brother easily, Gideon’s height easily towering over fellow seventh years. The people who sat across Gideon were already used to Fabian dropping by and made space for him to sit across his brother.
"So."
