In a time where there wasn't many Black male authors, there was #ericjeromedickey who inspired and open a path for 2000's male urban writers. In my teens as a young Black writer i always said i wanted to accomplish what he had doing so in a industry that lacked black male writers. I looked at him as the #godfather of #urbanwriting. When others were inspired by James Patterson success, i was inspired by @eric.jerome.dickey. He accomplished a lot and left behind a collection of legendary literature. #resurrectingmidnight #gideonseries are a few of my #favorites.
