Participated for secret santa on Discord, and drew this cool piece for @lazyaholic ! :3
Have to say that despite not having played the game and only now knowing parts of the lore, it was so fun drawing in this art style!
Happy birthday to @mikeslvr! Yippee!
I made this a while back and for some reason I was just holding on to it ┐(´ー`)┌ I don't know why, but I'm posting it now, because it seems like a good time to.
It just random thought that popped into my head and I began to draw it out and this is the result of it.
So here's another gift for @projectanimations
It's your Timothy and Alfred :D
Meeting my Alfred, don't worry he's just a very nervous guy. <:]
A little gift for my great mutual, @borkthemork. Your 48 Years AU inspired me to write this, especially Sasha and Kamon's relationship. So wholesome! Hope you like it!
---------------------
Unexpected
Life was surprising, turbulent sometimes but still surprising, and for someone like Sasha, there's no doubt that it would never stop baffling her no matter how well-prepared she was.
Amphibia not only forced her to see the worst of herself and rebuild her entire worldview and set of values, every jagged piece that she considered, rather naively and stubbornly, a perfect step in her path from scratch, her experiences in another world also hardened her. Sharper, more alert, distrustful and cynical. She went from an arrogant girl with no idea of how things worked around her to a wiser but jaded veteran.
You could say that even her own shadow was on her black list whenever she scrutinize everything, both people and stuff like a tireless watchman.
However, the only one who got to see her soft side, besides her best friends, was the energetic toddler playing with a Lego set. Kamon, Anne's only child.
If anyone had told her that one day she would be babysitting one of her best friend's children, she would've ignored them. Today, though, with countless experiences and burdens on her mind, as frenzy as a train running wild, she couldn't care less knowing that hypothetical situation had become true when she was mesmerized by another one: that Kamon, of all people, Kamon, this little bundle of energy looked up to her.
I mean, she had to be dreaming. She was dreaming, right? Her nightmares were proof enough to show her and scream to the four winds why this was insane on such a level that not even the word 'madness' could suffice.
The Toad Tower incident; Percy and Braddock being put in danger and then leaving; that fateful day on Andrias' castle. Heck, all those years bullying her friends, especially Anne, instead of being a good friend, a decent person.
A dark part of her mind wondered how things would be if Kamon knew half the stuff her worst, old self had done years ago. Or how would he react if Anne had told him, in a parallel universe, how far Sasha had fallen and how much that affected his mother when she was young? She bet she would be forgiven to even glance at the kid right now and Anne would shove a Restrictive Order to her face.
If the universe or whatever deity up there was messing with her, making her enjoy the company of the charismatic kid until the illusion fell apart without her being able to stop it, then they were doing a good job.
Or perhaps this was a test. To see if she could take care of Kamon without fucking things up. To see if someone like her could protect such a pure and precious thing as the kid was with the same hands that used to hurt and destroy, filthy and savage as they were.
And still, despite how messed up she was, Kamon never stopped following her around, with shining eyes filled with adoration. For frog's sake, even Sprig was jealous that Sasha was Kamon's favorite and not him.
The blonde pondered if the universe has a catch stored on its sleeves because she still couldn't believe it.
"Auntie, look!" 5-year-old Kamon broke her train of thoughts by showing her a crude Lego statue he had built. It looked like it was holding something. "It's you!"
"Me?" She asked.
"Yeah, you!" He answered with a bright smile. "With a super sword, like a superhero!"
A wave of warmth and gratitude enveloped her as she returned the smile and ruffled his hair. "Thanks, kiddo. It's wonderful."
Yeah, life always had a way to surprise Sasha, and maybe there was a slight chance the universe was pranking her with how delightful this babysitting day was like any other, but as Kamon showed her his other Lego projects and talked about them, she didn't mind at all.
For @phosph0r-proto, I hope you like it!!
