So I'm just back on my shit now ig but hear me out the concept of a really famous Gresley and this random aah Sudrian man is so funny to me it'd be like watching Beyonce turn around and start dating some random dude from a small town nobody's ever heard of.

Sodor Rehydrated takes place in a modern alternative universe where everyone is engine-based. Like in our world a famous train driver would be super niche but in THIS world it's like the main thing, the popstars of their universe.

True Mallard isn't great western but Duck's defo got special interests in famous drivers in general.

Mallard's 9 years older than Duck so Duck was a teen fanboy but Mallard doesn't MEET Duck until Duck's 31 and at this point Duck's kind of like 'oh shit that's weird I had a poster on my wall of you 14 years ago'

These took a BIT longer than I expected, mostly bc I didn't know how to do them exactly but here they are!! In order the characters are: Rebecca and Murdoch, Toby and Henrietta, Victor and Luke, Hank and Timothy!

Story where Edward is ‘kicked out’ of his own branch line after it gets ransacked and weaponized against him. He finds Diesel abusing a machine cloning him + his colleagues, cooperates with the twins to stop him, and saves his home in the process

To clarify, the plot contains a gen-AI metaphor, but no AI was used to create any elements in it. I highly doubt that a bot would spit out a story so specific and absurd in nature anyway. Feel free to read some wild stuff conjured up by a human brain and a pen alone

Well posted my hot takes for ttte in @shikariiin's post but here's mine (be warned I have a lot):

Nia and Rebecca work as characters, they were just handled badly (like James could still destroy the shed, the fat controller be like 'well, I needed to add two more berths anyways' and suspense as to who these new engines would be)

I like CGI Donald and Douglas dynamic

The show should have the characters voiced by the same person as the same and therefore perfectly be able to mimic each other

Brenner era did Gordon and Thomas's friendship dirty

Ashima should have been a member of the main cast

There should have been a CGI adaptation of Tenders For Henry so Gordon and Scotsman had an overall character arc

The French were cheating in the great race (they brought an electric engine to a race in which the other countries bought steam engines what did they think would happen???)

England was also cheating, we had three/two engines (I swear Sodor acts like it's its own country)

Douglas, Oliver and Toad should have had an episode together (either scrapping or Toad heard about what happened to the Spiteful Brakevan and develops a fear of Douglas)

Not sure how it is in other parts of the world but over here in the UK, quite a lot of our shows (kids' or not) have WW1/Rememberance Day specials. TTTE has arguably the best characters to be able to do this

Edward and Toby should have gotten an episode together

BoCo should have been brought back in that one Timothy episode where he goes to the docks. BoCo would have been way better for this

We should have seen more of the Caledonian twins' singing and their hatred for diesels

I will make explanation posts for all of these eventually but for now, don't fight in the comments. Debate but no fighting
