I had an Epsom salt float this morning and my God I wish I could convince people of the effects. I’ve done drugs before, like when I was younger (nothing hard but like shrooms and stuff), and nothing recreates that feeling like a float does. Like I’m sitting in my car just a fit of giggles and smiles.

It slows my mind down so much and my heart eases. When it goes dark I can’t tell if my eyes are open or closed and the colors and shapes I see with my sober naked eye are just unreal. The peace I manifest for a single hour. I picture I’m floating in space, cradled by the universe and everything that she possesses. I love it, I love it so so much.

Stucky and I / Part 16

Summary: Settling in for a Disney movie and dinner, the reader shows the boys one talent as she sings along. The want to know what else she can do.

Once Steve got us all settled again, and Bucky got me dressed, we sat back to eat dinner and watch the movie. The whole time, I sang along and quoted nearly every word. The boys bit back laughs at my antics, but they both admired me out of the corner of their eyes and enjoyed seeing me blissfully happy for the first time since they found me.

Even though I’ve only been with them a week, I felt like I’ve known them forever. Like I was a piece in the puzzle of their lives and vice versa. Even though I missed my parents deeply, three super hero’s and Pepper (who is really a super hero for dealing with Tony’s antics) made me feel like I was at home. I feel loved and cared for.

As I blissfully emerged myself into the movie and my thoughts, the sickness that was slowly making it’s way out of my body was hardly noticeable. Stomach finally settled and full of the soup Steve had prepared, I let myself snuggle with the super soldiers. Even with the sweat that glistened on my skin from the fever attempting to break, the boys held me tight and enjoyed the movie themselves.

Once it finished, Steve and Bucky smiled at me and Jarvis turned off the tv. Both boys confessed that they had yet to see that Disney movie, but they both expressed their love for it.

“I think we enjoyed watching you enjoy yourself most of all.” Steve said, a glimmer of love in his eyes as he smiled at me.

“I sure enjoyed it, doll.” Bucky said, playing with my hair. “Any other secret talents your hiding from us?”

Blushing a darker shade of red to add to the pink tint on my cheeks from fever, I covered my face and shook my head. I refused to look at them knowing that if they knew, they would demand to see what I could do when I got better. I was too shy to do it.

“Oh come on love.” Steve prodded. “Just tell us.”

“Nope. Nuh-uh.” I said, still hiding behind my hands.

“We just wanna know.” Bucky whispered. “It can’t be that embarrassing.”

“It’s not so much embarrassing as it is that I don’t wanna show you.” I said, removing my hands and looking down at them.

“Well, when your comfortable, you could show us, but we just wanna know what it is right now.” Steve reasoned.

“Fine.” I grumbled, knowing that I was just wasting oxygen by denying their requests. “I also play the drums.”

Bucky shot up next to me, his eye bright with excitement and a huge grin on his face. “NO WAY.” Bucky practically shouted.

I buried myself into Steve’s chest to hide my face. Steve’s chest rumbled as he laughed at the scene in front of him. He rubbed my back and planted a kiss on the crown of my head.

“Now Buck,” Steve started once he got control of himself .” we promised that we wouldn’t make her show us and you shouldn’t make this a big deal.

“But Steeeeeve.” Bucky whined at the man beneath me. “It’s so freaking cool. She’s a total rock star! Wait until Tony hears about this!”

Panicking at the thought of Tony Stark knowing that I was musically inclined, and then possibly forcing me to play in front of lots of other people, had me sitting up and panicking in an instant. “Don’t you dare Barnes.” I seethed, pointing an a cussing finger. “If you so much as utter a word to anyone outside this room, there will be hell to pay.”

Bucky was quick to sober up at my threatening tone. Steve then started dying of laughter. He couldn’t believe that you just stunned the Winter Soldier into silence.

You were quick to turn on him with the same glare and tone. “You too Rogers.”

Steve quickly threw his hands in the air with a “Yes ma’am. “ to boot. His face went serious for a moment before he started giggling again. Bucky was quick to join in, not able to resist laughing when Steve was giggling like a mad man.

Shaking my head, I mocked them with a “Hardy har har”, before settling myself back down between the two giggling soldiers to wait out their giggling fits.
