       ❛ WELL, IT’S LIKE THIS : ❜ he clears his throat. his hand catches collar && adjusts it accordingly. it’s a theatrical display, really. it’s not entirely or in any way necessary ; in fact, it means to coax a laugh or even a smile. he tosses a smile ( no, not an entirely timid one, but one that shines effortlessly ), && he steals a quick glance at the marvelous ms. jane banks before truly beginning, ❛ he growled && screeched. ‘means he gave his speech. && made ‘em plenty proud. ‘means there was a big ol’ crowd. they brought a big old bout. ‘means they started to scream && shout ! see ? easy as that ! ❜

          ❛ nice little place.  though i do miss you back at home.  so used to having you there, it’s different without you. ❜  shrugging off her coat, she goes to hang it on the small coat rack by the door.  she had a few hours free, and she couldn’t think of a better way to spend it than visiting jane.

                   he  wants  to  laugh  .  truly  ,  he  does  .  he  wants  to  say  that  she’s  right  ,  because  she  is  .  she  knows  him  better  than  anyone  .  and  he’s  grateful  for  her  optimism  ,  but  he’s  afraid  that  it  just  won’t  be  enough  .  ❛  this  is  getting  far  more  complicated  than  we  thought  it  would  be  ,  jane  .  ❜  find  their  father’s  shares  ,  save  the  house  .  but  time  was  ticking  !  and  those  shares  were  nowhere  to  be  found  .  ❛  what  do  we  do  when  the  answer  isn’t  simple  anymore  ?  ❜
