NHL- Thursday, veteran goaltender, Jean-Sebastien Giguere of the Colorado Avalanche, announced his retirement. Giguere grew up in Blainville, Quebec and was drafted 13th overall in the 1995 NHL entry draft by the Hartford Whalers. He went on to win the Conn Smythe Trophy in 2003 and the Stanley Cup in 2007.
