Never Look Back | Giotto & Sasha
Fingers kept tapping on the cold metal table as Sasha tried her best to remain calm. Not even the cookies left out on the table were appetizing for her at the moment. No, all she could do was wait for whatever was going to happen in this meeting.
When she arrived in Newstark a couple of years ago she was still wracked with guilt. She went to the police, told them that she used to be part of a gang. Sasha didn’t give them anymore details other than the fact that she only stole things. Since the crimes happened at another city they couldn’t really do much except for keep tabs on her. She didn’t tell them why she left or why she felt so guilty, they never really asked.
Until now. Sasha was called into the police station and she wasn’t sure why. When she got here they started bombarding her with questions forcing her to think about the past she tried to forget. Apparently Newstark had some gang problems as well and they wanted to know what made her leave her gang.
An embarrassing breakdown later, here she was, eyes burning as she tried to focus on just breathing in and out. They left her alone after that saying they were going to give her sometime to calm down. They kept promising that she wouldn’t get in trouble but how could she trust them. What if they found out what she did, they would have to turn her in then. Her entire life would be changed forever and her father, well he would have even more reason to be disappointed.
Sasha tried to focus on the sound of her fingers tapping on the metal table. Tried to forget how much blood there was, seeing eyes once filled with life staring at her empty. She felt sick.
