@gilded-dawn sent: It's all changed. She can't remember the last time greenery carpeted this land, for all the white wolf could see was mile after mile of grey asphalt. Not only was the ground beneath her paws uncomfortable to walk on, the sun deity was a bit disoriented too.
Where is everyone? She scours the horizon, keeping her nose towards the north. There's a faint, albeit delicious smell emanating from yonder. Food? That was a possibility, and the lupine was quite hungry.
Trekking at an energetic pace to find the source doesn't take too long, Amaterasu is there within seconds. But... she's disappointed to see that said meal was guarded.
"Roo!" Her ears flatten and she whines in protest.
Today is not her day. ( @Harima )
Some things never really changed. Whether it was the people he met around town or the kinds of jobs he went to. Yeah sure. Struggles all around but there's going to be a constant. It ain't going anywhere. And Harima has to put up with it the most it feels like. Freakin short changers!!
But what's a struggling no-college part time worker supposed to do? Start a fight with high class rich client who could beat him down with just a whisper of a lawyer? No way. Talk about a fast ticket to losing the little bit of life he's carved out for himself.
"So now I've gotta make this pathetic wad of cash last for a week before the next paycheck comes in? Crud..." Nothing to it, really. Still, makes the gig lifestyle one of way too much frustration. It's supposed to be supplementing normal incomes, not making his life more of a pain.
Still, man's gotta eat. And the convenience store tandoori smelled great (for a guy like him). Unfortunate that a few bites into his meal to get him through the day was interrupted. By a rather sizable dog.
"...uh, can I help you?" It's a rhetorical question, and the woof comes through loud and clear. "What's that? Lost and hungry, then thought you could score a meal but found me holding it, huh? Tch..." Damn it. Damn it!! This was all he was going to be eating today but seeing that sad dog is fucking with him. If he can help it he'd rather not go on the water diet but...
"Today is not my day. Alright! Here. Look. Just take it if you're gonna keep giving me those eyes. I'll... I'll be fine!" Harima is probably not going to be fine, but there was always something he could pull to make an end meet.
