rather than work on any writing at all, @gildedson and i started watching season 17 (again) and this time we’ve gone in with the intentions of making a coherent dorisi timeline. this is what i have come up with so far. these are just notes for the sake of my own upcoming fics & of course the threads i have going with @gildedson , but i figured a few people (i’m looking at you, @dorisi-my-dears ) might like a peek.

@gildedson is being watched over whether he likes it or not.

The sound that announces the archangel is always the same -- unseen wings flapping gently before he’s simply there, though this time he doesn’t show up empty-handed. A small box is placed on the bedside table and the smell of pizza quickly starts to fill the room as Zadkiel takes in the familiar sight of Michael Dodds in a hospital bed. His survival was no accident. Both of them know that much. Yet there is still comfort in seeing that Michael was coming along well. Being out of the ICU was a cause for celebration; there was talk of being discharged within the next few days and then some of the hard stuff would kick off. Physical therapy wasn’t going to be any fun. Maybe the pizza was something of an apology ahead of time.

“This is from Di Fara on Avenue J. I figured you could use a break from whatever sludge they keep bringing you from downstairs -- but you have to promise me that you’ll go slow. Don’t make me regret spoiling you so soon.”
