The Fall of Ile-Rien: Fancast
Having just finished the absolute joy that is Martha Wells’s The Fall of Ile-Rien trilogy for the first time, I’ve been moved to make a fancast for the TV adaptation that ought by rights to exist. I’m taking some liberties with the ages of characters because a good TV show would need flashbacks and also because I want to, so there. More minor characters from the later books not included. Extremely mild spoilers for the series as a whole. THUS:
Tremaine - Alicia Vikander
Simultaneously tired and full of rage
Fuelled by coffee and sarcasm
Has no patience for bullshit

Having feelings is incovenient and also the worst, actually
Florian - Eleanor Tomlinson
Chronically underestimated despite being a sorcerer of Ile-Rien

Would really just like to sit down somewhere quiet with a cup of tea
