What was Gill and Crow's Gaster like? Was he just like Gaster from seventh soul or different?
This question just came to mind last night before I went to sleep, idk whyy (´-﹏-`;)
Also! Happy Easter kat!! Ur comic is so peak! Keep up the great work gurl 🤍🤍🤍🤍🥹🥹✌️
( ◜‿◝ )♡
I should draw him sometime looool but yeah he was a lot like Seventh Soul Gaster. Just a chill dude/doctor. Very nice and very smort. He would probably have a very similar personality to Soul Gaster.
ACTUALLY WAIT I THINK I DID DRAW HIM ONCE
*frantically rummaging through files*
AHA!
was a very quick doodle but this is Gill and Gaster before shit hit the fan LOL
What's the difference between Canon and Fanon Gill, G, and Crow? 🤔
tbh, not much. when I first made Gill, he was actually a LOT more like Crow in personality. I actually made a canon vs fanon thing like way back in 2019 that is now pretty inaccurate lol
buuuuuuuuut that's not really accurate anymore LOL. Gill's personality has changed a LOT since 2019. He doesn't resent science anymore and is a lot friendlier in canon. I'd say the only accurate thing now is the "bi" in fanon I guess? But I mean...fanon is up to individual interpretation and I don't really care what people do.
I'd say now an accurate description of each Gill's canon is this:
Gill
* Quiet and reserved, but still friendly and polite.
* Aro/Ace, but still could be in a relationship with the right person who accepts him for who he is, it would take a LOT of convincing though because he doesn't really have any interest in relationships
* Skilled in all areas of science but is especially skilled and takes more of an interest in engineering and inventing things
* Still not good at expressing emotions but does express them subtly
* Is a REALLY good liar because of how good he is as suppressing emotions (like he could pass a polygraph test with no problem), he doesn't really lie unless he needs to tho and would more likely just be bluntly honest about things because he doesn't really care about saying something wrong (he's kinda socially clueless)
* He loves science still. When he first lost Gaster he resented it for a little bit, but eventually was pulled back in.
* Left his AU after some time passed, now he just explores the multiverse in search of knowledge, and also because being in his home AU is hard for him after losing Gaster.
* I actually kind of want to make the other 2 Gills completely canon to his story, and all 3 of them are like brothers. This Gill would be the youngest of the 3.
* He's still very much an introvert but is okay at socializing. It's easier for him to talk to someone he considers a patient, trying his best to make them feel comfortable while he heals them.
* Only Gill capable of using healing magic (for now. Doctor G might learn it later down the line)
Crow
* Even more quiet and reserved than Gill. He still tries to be polite, but is much less so. He is very blunt and has a low tolerance for bullshit.
* Still Aro/Ace and would never be in a relationship. He would bluntly turn anyone down who tried and walk away LOL
* Also skilled in all areas of science but is especially skilled and takes more interest in the medical field. The Gill that is the best at surgeries, diagnosing issues, applying practical medicine and treatment, and creating his own pharmaceuticals. He is the doctoriest of all the Gills.
* Is even more dull when it comes to emotions, rarely shows any emotion aside of annoyance at most. Hardly ever smiles.
* Also a VERY good liar but usually won't lie because he doesn't ever think he needs to. He's very forward, blunt and to the point and doesn't beat around the bush.
* This Gill never resented science and continued to be a doctor in his AU and never left until he discovered the multiverse, then sent out his flock of crows to scout for dying souls. He only ever leaves hi AU to collect souls or if he finds something/someone interesting.
* The middle child of the 3 Gills LOL, yet the one that takes things the most seriously.
* Even more introverted than Gill, really hates talking to people and people in general, but still cares a lot about people he considers patients. The moment one of his patients is discharged, though, he expects them to leave. He doesn't have any interest in friends and prefers solitude, but the other 2 Gills have grown on him and he can learn to care about others and make friends if someone puts a lot of time and effort into winning him over. He usually leaves the talking and socializing up to the other 2 Gills who are far better at it than him.
* Cannot use healing magic at all. He wants to learn, but the Entity will not allow him to because it wants him to collect souls rather than heal people. Anytime he would try and learn, the Entity would throw a fit, so he just gave up, feeling like he didn't really need to learn anyway because Gill can do it.
* He is also far stronger than base Gill, the Entity keeping his soul stable meaning he can exert himself a lot more. His powers also make him a pretty strong character, since he can sense souls and make his void matter permeable. The only thing really keeping him from being an absolute menace tot he world is the fact that he doesn't want to hurt people unless given no other choice.
Doctor G
* The friendliest and happiest Gill. He LOVES people, loves making friends, loves making people smile. He is very polite and tries his best to be respectful, though sometimes his curiosity can get the better of him.
* Still Aro/Ace! Though this Gill would probably be the easiest to convince into a relationship LOL, it would still be very hard, though, and he would very politely and gently turn anyone down who tried.
* The most skilled in all areas of science! He's an excellent doctor and inventor, but took more of in interest in souls specifically because of his abilities that allow him to stop a soul from shattering. He uses that a lot to help people in ways that no one else could, often times performing soul surgeries since he's the only person that can do that without shattering the soul.
* Very emotionally expressive. He smiles a lot and is just a genuine ray of sunshine. He is a sweetheart, but he can be serious when he needs to be. He also has some trauma that can trigger panic attacks, but that is super rare and only in extreme situations. He's working on it, probably just needs some therapy.
* Also a very good liar, but probably not AS good as the other 2 Gills. He would prefer being honest anyway, but will lie if he feels it is necessary.
* Never resented science and in fact did even more science than the other 2 Gills. He got to live out most of his life with Gaster, who continued to mentor him and made him the best doctor he could be.
* The oldest Gill "brother", by a lot. He is over 140 years old and had a LOT of time to study everything there is to study. He is very wise and intellegent, even if he comes off as a doofus sometimes.
* The extroverted Gill. His personality is the exact opposite of Crow's, he loves socializing and loves people.
* He can heal souls, and will probably eventually learn healing magic. He never had much of a reason to since he runs a whole hospital with healers that can do it for him. But he may grow an interest in learning.
* Probably the strongest Gill. He's a merged human with a fully corrupted soul like Crow, but his perseverance magic keeps any possible "Entity" suppressed. So he has all the power of Crow and more, with no Entity to get in his way. His only stipulation is he never wants to hurt people, like ever. He has trauma regarding that, and hurting someone would send him spiraling into a panic episode. He would sooner just leave than hurt someone on purpose, and is always careful not to accidentally hurt someone. Even if someone were to somehow make him angry enough to hurt them (which would take a LOT because G is rarely ever angry), he would feel absolutely horrible afterwards and probably try to fix it in a panic. Also due to how much time he's had to hone his powers, he has acute control over the void and his cold, making him nearly impossible to hit. If someone tried to attack him, he can use his "void body" (a special ability he learned how to use that no other Gill can, it makes it SEEM like he's just made of goop when hit, but it's actually just a clever use of the void and "portals" essentially) to avoid attacks. He's rather try and talk out differences than attack back, so while you might be able to hit him, he also will not ever hit you. If someone is skilled enough to break through his void body and actually hurt him (you have to be VERY fast with rapid fire nonstop attacks that he can't keep up with), he would likely just leave, and have his feelings hurt :(
* Unlike the other two Gills, this one comes off as a bit of a dingus. He tends to be too trusting, always giving someone the benefit of the doubt no matter how evil they are, and sometimes oblivious to danger, but that's only because he is just that confident/use to the fact that he can't be hit - because there is really only a small handful of people that could actually hurt him. He just wants to be everyone's friend and help people.
ANYWAY WOW I KINDA WENT OFF ON A TANGENT THERE DIDNT I LOL OOPS MB
hope you like the yap anyway TvT I love talking about my Gills, they are very precious to me 💜💜💜
If Crow wasn't aroace, how would he act in a relationship? what would his type be?
LOL what a question 😂
funnily enough around the time I first made Gill, a friend ( @dragonchuu ) and I actually did ship our OCs together even though he is aroace. It was actually pretty cute. The ship was with my friend's OC "Delusion" or "Del" and we called the ship "Gillusion" 😂
Del was a very happy-go-lucky and cheerful lady skeleton, which compared to Gill's stoic and grumpy demeanor was actually really cute. I think the polar opposite personalities was adorable and probably what I could see someone like Gill or Crow being with. It balances them out LOL
This is Del :3 owned by @dragonchuu (I drew this like 5 years ago) She wore a pink bunny hood and was a ray of sunshine against Gill's cold demeanor TvT She has ghostly tendrils that came out of her back and had a sort of mind of their own. She has a very tragic backstory but she's a sweet pea.
Here's some more VERY old Gillusion art of the two from like 5 years ago.
this one was a collab @dragonchuu and I did together
Art my friend made @dragonchuu
A silly little doodle
and a funny thing I made when my friends and I started getting REALLY into Gill's ship LOL
anyway there's my yap. If Gill and Crow weren't aroace I think the kind of person they would be with is someone that can balance out their broody personalities by being an absolute ray of sunshine. I think the dynamic is hecking cute.
Hi kat, I have a question that isn’t ss relates *GASP*
is gill and doctor g the same person? And if they are, then what’s there lore?
Uh oh ur gonna get me yappin again.
Gill and G are the same person, just different variants from different timelines. I will TRY to keep this breif LOL (no promises)
Gill is the OG. The foundation for both G and Crow, who are both variants of him. But I'll just dive into G. But first, here's Gill's ref sheet which explains more about him and his backstory. Figured it would be easier to talk about G with the context of Gill.
NOW!
For G, his backstory is very similar - only G was the one who fell into the void, not Gaster. G (being Gill at the time, before he became human) pushed Gaster out of the way and fell in. He was trapped in the void for a year while Gaster tried to get him out.
When Gaster finally got him out, G's body was completely gone, having been torn apart by the void and was nothing left but a corrupted and broken soul that was barely alive. Gill is a monster, but his trait is perseverance - and he persevered for a year.
When Gaster took his soul back, he tried to figure out a way to bring Gill back. When he was running out of ideas, a boy named Oliver (the perseverance child who was Gill's childhood friend) offered to absorb his corrupted soul in order to being him back. Gaster was hesitant, but obliged.
Oliver absorned Gill's soul, and gave up his body entirely, giving Gill total control. Thus, G was born as a merged human.
I actually wrote more lore about him in my discord server, but I can copy/paste it here I suppose why not! I'll put it under the but because it's looooooooooooong.
G AND OLLY LORE RAHHHH
Oliver Stride
The perseverance child that was Gill's childhood best friend lore
Oliver was born into a wealthy and prestigious family that owned a world renowned pharmaceutical company - one of the main suppliers of medicine for every hospital around the world. However, as most wealthy companies are, they valued profit over quality of the product. Some of their drugs were even just placebos that didn’t actually do anything, to no one else’s knowledge. But…people believed they worked. And given that they were the main line for drugs and medicine, people didn’t have much choice but to use them.
Oliver was a bit of the black sheep of the family, his interests not really aligning with theirs. He was more fascinated with being a scientist, and wanted to be a great doctor like Gaster. He had no interest in his inheritance of the company and wanted to instead run his own hospital someday than run a business.
The Stride family was also very…anti-monster. They hated monsters, and hated magic. Not only because they were likely envious that they themselves couldn’t use magic due to being human, but magic healers cut into their profits. One of the things they liked to advertise with their business was “medicine made by humans, for humans”, which gained them a lot of supporters that felt the same way about monsters.
Oliver and his younger siblings were enrolled in a high-end private school, and Oliver didn’t really fit in with anyone there either. All his peers were snooty and thought very highly of themselves, while Oliver just liked to keep to himself and study the things that interested him most. Oliver, unlike his family, loved monsters. He thought they and their magic were really cool, and wanted to study and learn how to work with them rather than against them. He didn’t care about the profits of his family company as much as he would rather try to make the world a better place - for monsters and humans both.
When Oliver got the chance, he would often times try to sneak away from his home to go up to Gaster’s clinic at the top of Mt. Ebott. He had hopes of someday running into him there, maybe asking him to mentor him or asking him about his magic. His family continuously tried to stop him, but he persevered. It was on one of these occasions that he met Gill, both him and Oliver being roughly 8 or 9 at the time. Gill and Oliver immediately clicked, having similar interests and aspirations. Oliver would visit more and more often, just wanting to hang out with the one single person he got along with and enjoyed talking to. Gaster also liked Oliver and enjoyed his company. He liked to teach him things and answer his questions - and most of all, he was glad Gill had made a friend.
The Accident
Much like in every other Gill’s universe, he and Gaster were studying the void. They built a machine, and due to a small miscalculation on Gill’s part, it malfunctioned. The only difference here is that instead of Gaster falling in, Gill managed to grab him and pull him away, before he fell in himself.
Roles were reversed, and Gaster spent a while repairing the machine to try and save Gill. During this time, Oliver, of course, offered his help. He wanted to save his best friend and the only person he really felt a connection to. They finally managed to repair it, and Gaster was able to retrieve Gill - or rather…what was left of him.
The void had nearly fully consumed Gill, his soul tainted a deep black as it tried to eat up the last of him. But…Gill somehow persevered and kept himself alive. But only barely. Gaster was able to retrieve his soul and stored it in a soul jar to keep it stable, his research then turning to ways of possibly bringing him back - but every endeavor seemed fruitless. Gaster was beginning to lose hope, until Oliver offered a solution.
“Let me absorb his soul. I can bring him back.”
The idea was extreme, and posed many risks. Gaster was reluctant, not wanting to potentially lose Oliver as well to something that could very well kill him - not only because absorbing a soul by itself was risky enough, but the fact that Gill’s soul was so corrupted, it would surely corrupt Oliver’s soul as well.
It took several days of contemplating the idea. Oliver was persistent in trying to convince Gaster to allow him to do this, until Gaster finally - albeit hesitantly - agreed.
Oliver took Gill’s corrupted soul, and fused it with his own.\
The Merging
Gaster’s concerns were confirmed upon Oliver merging with Gill’s soul. The void immediately began to corrupt Oliver’s soul as well, but the burst of awakened perseverance magic worked instantly to combat it - suppressing and silencing any potential “Entity” that may or may not be there, as well as fully stabilizing the merged soul.
Because Oliver went in fully intending to give up control, it was Gill’s eyes that flew open, gasping for air as if he was just pulled out of deep water and saved from drowning. And he looked...terrified. His newly acquired magic going haywire as he had no idea how to control it. Void covered his entire body, tendrils lashing out in fear, ice quickly jutting from the floor and freezing everything within the vicinity. It was a good thing it was only Gaster there, otherwise Gill very well may have accidentally killed someone.
Gill had been trapped, suffocating in the void’s claws as it relentlessly tried to rip him apart into tiny pieces through time and space. He was frozen in a state of excruciating pain for so long, the sudden relief from it all was…jarring, to say the least. He was confused, scared and in a state of panic as he wasn’t even sure if he was dead or not. It took a while before Gaster could finally settle him down and help him realize that he was still very much alive, and that now he had to process the next jarring change - the fact that he was now a human.
The beginning of Gill and Oliver’s merging was rough, as Gill had to not only overcome his trauma of being trapped by the void for so long, but learn to control his magic. It was not a smooth transition, since Gill was never good at using magic before, and now he suddenly had far too much of it. Many accidents took place as Gaster tried to guide him through this new change. People were injured, sometimes even almost killed.
But…it would only get worse. Even as Gill began to improve on his use of magic and control his newly acquired void, another, even greater problem would soon rear its ugly head.
The Stride family.
The Story of Doctor G
(This is gonna kinda start as its own thing and not continue from what i last wrote)
When G opened his eyes for the first time, he was…terrified. Having been trapped in the void’s claws for so long left him mentally scarred and unsure if he was even alive or not. Plus, the new power he was suddenly struck with was hard for him to control, given he nor Olly had much experience with magic before.
His magic and void would go haywire as he tried to figure out what was even happening. His body completely covered in black, tendrils lashing around violently, ice spikes jutting from the ground…he had absolutely no control.
With the familiar voice of Gaster calling out to him, his emotions were able to stabilize enough for his magic to settle down, allowing Gaster to get in closer and reassure him that he was alive.
The road from there was a rough one. Gaster would help try and teach G to control his magic, but accidents would happen. Other people who wanted to involve themselves in assisting Gaster with G would get hurt, and sometimes almost killed as G tried to navigate his new power. It got to a point where G felt he was too dangerous to be around other people and would try and lock himself away somewhere, wanting to be alone with his thoughts, and Olly, of course.
It was during this time of seclusion that G and Olly would grow curious. The confines of solitude were the only times G felt comfortable enough testing out his abilities, and he and Olly would soon discover their “Endurance” magic. Finding out that they were impossibly durable, able to recover from the most devastating of injuries…they tested the limits of their newfound magic on themselves.
Through this, G was able to gain better control, feeling much more comfortable using only himself as a test subject than other people. He would gain many, many new scars ranging anywhere between cuts, scraps, lacerations, and burns from all kinds of different sources. His body was able to endure the worst of it and recover, even though Gaster wasn’t the biggest fan of this method of practice, he couldn’t exactly stop G from doing it, and would only help to treat his injuries every time he came with a new one.
Once G gained better control, he once again tried to test his magic on others. This made him extremely nervous, since he didn’t want to hurt someone again, but…he did much better than before. He would continue to test the limits, seeing how far he could go and try to retain control - until there was yet another accident involving his power over ice.
He nearly killed someone once again, his ice having given the victim horrible frostbite and knocking them unconscious. Their soul began to shatter, causing G to panic and react. It was then that yet another new power was discovered: Purple Soul: Endure.
The dying human’s shattering soul was suddenly frozen in place, the cracks beginning to slowly heal and mend. G, Olly and Gaster, as well as a few other bystanders, were awestruck. This was the first time since G’s awakening that he felt…overjoyed. He had the power to stop death, to SAVE people. It was then that he felt that maybe he could do some good and make up for all the damage he had caused.
But…news of G would quickly begin making their rounds. Olly’s family already being a famous and powerful family on its own, but the knowledge that this new merged human from a prestigious family could stop death started spreading far and wide. People began to flock to G in troves, and at first…G was glad to be able to help, but it quickly started becoming overwhelming.
The pressure from people begging him to save them or their loved ones, and the aggressive and angry reactions he would receive if he failed, it was beginning to weigh on him heavily. Gaster tried to help by sending people away, but that only made G feel worse. He had hoped that his new power could help people, but in the end, it only caused more problems.
On top of the unwanted attention for G’s Endure magic, his ability to withstand otherwise irreversible or even lethal injuries gained attention, too. People wanted to use him for testing various things, things as simple as makeup and topical creams, to weapons and poisons. G was the perfect specimen for testing, and…he was happy to help.
G had felt so much guilt for everything that had happened that he would rarely ever say no to anyone. He felt it was his fault that the void machine malfunctioned, his fault that Gaster had to come save him, his fault that Olly had to give up his body for him to come back, and his fault for the feud between Gaster and Olly’s family. He felt at fault for Gaster being under so much stress, and would do anything to try and make it right, even if it meant himself getting hurt over it. So…he would always agree to help, no matter how painful it was, he would persevere and endure.
During G’s trials and tribulations of navigating his new power, Olly’s family (The Stride family) wasn’t making things any easier. They were angry, and they hated Gaster for taking their son away from them. No matter how much G and Olly tried to tell them otherwise, they would only accuse Gaster of manipulating their son.
Olly’s family being as notorious as it was, had a rather large following. Many people that supported their claims and views on monsterkind and only saw Gaster as a mad scientist that kidnaped the Stride’s firstborn son for his sick experiments. Day after day Gaster had to deal with extremists, vandals and even on occasion people who would try and assault him or his clinic. But…Gaster remained surprisingly calm throughout all of it.
“It will pass.”, he would say. Over and over again he would reassure G and Olly that this was only a phase that would pass, and they only had to persevere through it. G did his best to try and listen, but it was a lot for a young boy to tolerate. G was still only a teenager during all this, and was weighed down with so much guilt. Every mistake he made since waking up was met with heavy scrutiny by the Strides as they would try and use anything they could to slander and demonize him. This was also hard on Olly as well since he was also only a teen, albeit a ghost now. G and Olly did their best to be there for each other, but at the end of the day they were still only children and could only take so much pressure…so much grief…so much aggression.
G would start to hide away again, debating if him staying with Gaster at all was a mistake. Maybe he and Olly should just leave…vanish and adopt a new identity. They considered it for a while, but knew that even if they did that, Gaster would still suffer - only this time he would suffer alone. So…they stayed. And they continued to try their best to help people.
The end of all these conflicts, just before things began finally getting better, would be the worst memory for G and the thing that still weighs on him the most, even after 120 years.

OKAY SORRY THAT WAS SO MUCH but it's what I got so far hope you enjoy hhhhhhhh
there's also more G lore I wanna share (like how he got his scar) but I'm kinda waiting to share it. I kinda wanna write a proper story and share it on my socials but we'll see.
What time does the clinic usually open and then close?
What time does Crow and Gill usually wake up?? 🧐
I swear to god if you say 2 AM-
it's like a 24/7 clinic. Crow and Gill are the types to hardly get any sleep/have a jank sleep schedule. Gill probably gets more sleep than Crow, since Crow is often active at night as well for his grim reaper shenanigans.
Since Crow can sense souls, if he was sleeping he would likely just wake up if someone new entered his clinic at any time. He just sleeps whenever he gets a chance or drinks coffee (which is a special formula that he and Gill invented made only for them)
Though if you're talking like visitation hours, probably would be like any hospital. 8am-8pm or something iunno.
Gaster was the #1 inspiration, if you couldn't tell by his design 😂At the time I was just starting to get into Undertale and Gaster/Gaster theories were like my favorite thing, on top of my friends at the time having their own OCs it made me wanna try making MY own OC.
I don't really remember everything that inspired his design, I just know Gaster was a big one, and also the fact that a lot of his personality was based on myself LOL. I did an "OC vs creator" thing about that even. Literally the key different between us is he's super smart anbd I'm super dumb 😎
Haiiiii kat, itzzz Yuki again! I have a few questions! (≧▽≦)
What is it like in Crow and Gill's AU? Like, do they have cars or do they have to walk? Is there pavement or gravel side walks? Does everyone have to walk to work? What does the town look like? Old looking houses and building? Kind of like vintage houses or more of a kinda modern houses? Do they have phones? And what kind?? Are they old or modern? (• ▽ •;)
Will there be more Seventh Soul Dust chapters this year?? And after you finish Seventh Soul, will you start doing a Seventh Soul Dust comic? And if so, please tell me so that I can read it!! I love the AU so much!!! ♡(˃͈ દ ˂͈ ༶ )
So sorry for the many questions, I'm just a very curious gurl (´-﹏-`;)
Crow and Gill's AU is like...rustic modern? It's more like uhhh best example I can think of is like rural japan. Cars and phones exist but not many. It's kind of old fashioned, like a quaint village. The town is also pretty deep in the mountains and pretty cut off from the rest of the world. The most modern part of the entire town is the clinic, which is the most technologically advanced building.
As for Seventh Soul Dust chapters, mmmmmaybe? I can't say for sure tbh I just work on the novel whenever I have the spare time and motivation/inspiration to. I haven't really had much drive for it lately since I've been so busy with other things, but that could change ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If I ever make more pages I'll be sure to announce it looool 😎
