❛ uh - because your sister & brother are asleep , finally . aaand - ❜ she draws out the word , a secret smile playing on her lips as she tippy toes over to the freezer as quickly & quietly as she can . the only light in the kitchen coming from the dim light over the stove they leave on as a nightlight for late night snacks . she looks around conspiratorially before she pulls out a box of more expensive than usual ice cream . ava's favorite & one she usually shares with her siblings because morgan knows she won the kid lottery when it came to ava & she just kept winning . ❛ to celebrate getting into the art class ! just for me & you , kid . i'm so proud . ❜
