Fanf recs?

Humour me, because I wanna know if this is a thing

Legolas and Gimli being put into an arranged marriage to unite the elves and dwarves once more, or for some other ridiculous reason.

Whatevs, I just want this

So if you crazy kids out there have ANYTHING based on betrothal and forced marriage, and it doesn't end in tears, sign me up.

Or if you've just got a sweet modern AU I wouldn't say no to that either >.>

I should also add, quite adamantly, that I like my ships to stay their respective genders. You can swap 'em out all you like and put whatever beautiful thing you like on whoever, just don't hand it to me and tell me there ain't onions on my hambuger >:/

Can we talk about how this ship literally sails itself

And they live out the rest of Gimli's days together in the undying lands

So I need to get a basic idea of what my icon should be :/ if anyone has a suggestion, I would be GLAD for it. I'm not the best at art but I can attempt some things. It was suggested that I do a dwarf with elf ears, so Gimli with elf ears, by someone who didn't even know what my blog was >.> BUT for a Legolas/Gimli blog, what do you guys think would be proper?

This is a ridiculous thing, I know, but I've been thinking about it a lot in the past month :/

Not really sure.

The idea is that Gimli and Legolas go to some forest, could be any of them, and find an elf baby. No parents in sight, no possible way to find them, just cute little elf baby and no established relationship.

I am just very interested in them raising children

A boy elf child and a girl dwarf child

And the dwarf girl would constantly be all up in Legolas' business like "D: I wish I was pretty like you" and he'd be like "but if I really am pretty, and your father was able to sweep me off my feet, then you have nothing to worry about when it comes to looks"

And Gimli would be immediately overprotective of both of them
