I luv their dynamic already, I just know they bicker like crazy. Pop totally clocked them

Ughhhhh the angst. I like when alternative comics like this take the time to explore different avenues with the characters and give more insight/depth to characters who are typically restrained to more minor roles. Nancy being closeted makes perfect sense for a character who’s been in the same heterosexual relationship for decades (love Nancy and Chuck tho don’t get me wrong), and Ginger’s discomfort with that also makes perfect sense for a character who’s always been so confident and proud of what she loves. I especially love how, even though we don’t see anything leading up to this, you can tell this is an argument that’s boiled up over time. It’s an old trope for queer characters but I like the way it’s done here. So sad they couldn’t go to the dance together :(
