My name is Roxy. This blog is mainly for my rambles and shippy posts (not mutually exclusive). I’m just here to put my thoughts out into the world like an open diary, and to reblog cute shit💞💞💞
Note: I try not to get into outright nsfw territory but some of my posts may contain suggestive themes. To avoid seeing this content, filter the tag “tw suggestive”
Current Hyperfixation- Archie Comics (my sister is to blame), Riverdale, Glee
I do find it mildly annoying that canonically queer male characters in the Archieverse are almost always depicted as gay or entirely disinterested in women, to the point that it’s seen as laughable for them to be into girls. Whereas all the queer female characters have to be open to men in some way
Betty and Veronica corner Archie at Pops. He stares at them wide eyed as they sit side by side across from him in the booth glancing at each other but not saying anything. “What’s up?”
Veronica sighs. “Archie, we need your help.”
His eyes ping pong between the two of them and, seeing it was serious, he puts his burger down. “Of course. Whatever you need.”
Betty smiles at him and, after a quick sweep to make sure no one was paying them any attention, slides her hand to the right until it reaches Veronica’s. She entwined their fingers, looking at her girlfriend for a moment just to see the matching smile on her face, before looking back at Archie. He looks confused but then his eyes go wide.
“Really?” He grins, his excitement sweet, if not a bit too attention-grabbing. “Congratulations! Good for you guys, but… what do you need help with? Looks like you figured it out without me.”
Veronica chuckles, “Well, Archiekins, that’s not what we need help with.”
Archie looks sad for them but it turns back to confusion when Betty trails off. Veronica decides to just rip the bandaid off. “We need you to pretend to date me, just in public, to keep our parents out of our business.”
His eyebrows fly up in shock, “You want me to do what!?”
“Of course, you could date Betty instead if that makes you more comfortable, but it would be easier on us both if you did with me instead.” Betty nodded at Veronica's words.
“This isn't… you can't be serious?”
“Deadly.” Veronica says.
Betty squeezed her hand, “Yeah, Archie. We know we're asking a lot, but… could you at least consider it?”
Slowly he nodded, “Okay. I'll think about it.”
They sat in silence for a moment as they ate their food. Then Archie starts trying to say something.
“Spit it out,” Veronica says, picking at her onion rings.
He sighs, “It's a big responsibility! I wanna talk to Jug but I don't want to out you.”
Betty laughs and waves her hand, “We'll tell the group as long as it stays between us. Right, V?”
She nods at the girl, feeling really happy they got together. That's her girlfriend. They're going to tell people. She tries not to let her excitement show. “Yeah.”
"SoSo Gas", which was the constant station of Riverdale gets dropped, I suppose alongside the "Esso" station it is a play off of -- and the turns of phrases have to be dropped in Quebec's translation.
