3. What was the last book you read? The Women in The Castle by Jessica Shattuck, it was fantastic. It takes place post World War Two and tells the story of Marianne Von Lingenfells, the wife of a deceased German resister, who prior to the war was given responsibility over the resisters’ wives and children should they (the resisters) perish. So she rescues these women and children and forms bonds with them, but they’re all very haunted by the past and that’s all I can really say without spoiling anything, but it was really good!!

4. Where in the world would you most like to visit? My dream vacation would be to Japan

11. Which historical figure fascinates you and why? So many. I recently did a project for one of my classes on Women’s Resistance during the Holocaust and I researched this artist Charlotte Salomon, she’s really fascinating and her artwork is incredibly moving. I also included some information on Sophie Scholl in my project and she’s incredible fascinating, too.
