the fact that people think Shakespeare is overrated is crazy to me. like this dudes writing literally felt like gods words after the terrible contemporary texts we had to study (excluding ACC <3). tell me he’s not great when he literally has analysis in every single line. literally foreshadows the whole plot of Macbeth and gets away with it. and of course the monologues and soliloquies are amazing :D like why does no one in contemporary books tell me their uttermost deepest thoughts in one giant rant paragraph?
