The Giralda tower is one of the highlights of Seville. It was originally built as a minaret during the Moorish period. When the Arabs left, the mosque was transformed in a church, the Giralda became its bell tower. You can climb to the top of the tower. There are no stairs. Instead, there is a series of 35 gently inclined ramps that are wide enough to allow two guards on horseback to pass. It took us 11 minutes to climb.
