Must Love Dogs

I joined the foster program at a local animal shelter, & just got my first foster! I was so excited to get a husky, because I have ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS wanted one! She's so full of energy, distracts me from my homework, already super loyal, & gonna be my perfect running buddy.Right now, she's sleeping so sweetly next to me.

I couldn't help but think: as much as I love her already, I love you already more. Take everything I just described about her & times it by a million: that's my dream man! Can't wait...

Can't wait to live with you & our dogs:)

EVER EVER

If you EVER EVER feel unsafe, worthless, troubled, lost, sad, worried, uncertain, shaky, uncomfortable or lonely....baby, I got you! Just because you're bigger, taller, maybe older, and supposedly tougher than me doesn't mean I can't catch you, protect you, save you, find you.  I'm always gonna be here to change your mood, hopefully for the better! Just because you're the boy &  I'm the girl doesn't mean that you have to be the strong one all the time. So pretty please give me the chance to be your hero, your sunshine, your angel, your compass, your comedian, your confidant, your partner (even in crime! haha), your rock, your resting place, your companion...I promise I'll try my best. I think we should...

buy a boat, get lost, try out each other's hobbies, ride in the front seat of every roller coaster, share a coloring book on a lazy afternoon, write a song, make flashcards & learn a new language together, & take so many photos that the world will be downright jealous at how young & in love we are:)

We're young! So let's skip all that complicated grown-up stuff like labels, lying, cheating, waiting-three-days-to-call, holding back, doubting, fear of rejection, rationalism, and that blah blah blah etc. that society tries to feed us. Let's fall in love, be wild at heart, unstoppable partners in crime without looking back or caring what anybody else thinks. I love you, you love me...fighting the truth is stupid & leads to regrets & goodbyes.

Happily ever after does exist; it's called living life young at heart:)

That Feeling

I learned so much about my industry & made so many connections with people from all over the world these past few days. But I also learned the most amazing thing on my career adventure:

Saturday night a group of us went dancing in one of the hotel lounges. The band was playing good old songs, the bar was hopping, people were REAL dancing (none of that tacky grinding). It was my kinda scene (who knew I'd find it in Vegas of all places!) I was feeling so alive, & I met a guy that could have been & maybe is you.

He was the life of the party, wild & crazy, livin' it up...but there was something more to him than the typical frat-like party boy. He was flirty & funny but didn't cross the line. That was the first time in my life that I could let my hair down without some guy trying to grab my ass or take advantage of me. He was partying without being the typical disrespectful, & I cannot even tell you how amazing that was to be treated like a lady.

 I wore my polka dot dress, we all sang along to every song, & I felt like we had been friends for years. It just clicked. He let me have sips of his drink, REAL danced with all our friends, & during a high-five we both automatically intertwined our fingers as if we had planned it. I didn't have to think about what to say next or worry about if my hair was a mess & he never once made me feel uncomfortable ....best dancing night of my life!!!There was something there, & I could go on & on & on all day & smile about it forever. I know it was fate: proof that the kind of relationship & guy I dream of does exist.

I may not ever see, talk, or dance with him again- I only know his first name. But I'm so happy I got a sneak preview of the feeling I've been waiting for....

When it feels like that, when I feel like a little girl & woman at the same time, when a night out is just the right balance of wild & innocent, when we can flirt & laugh & dance the night away without crossing the line before we should, when we can be best-friends-at-first-sight....I'll know I'm in love with you. I'll know we are meant to be. & we'll be livin' the dream:)

join me & my dog on midnight walks, let me drive your truck anytime, eat a whole pizza with me, make pinky swear promises & buckets lists, get out there on that dancefloor, make my sisters giggle and my parents proud...

Right Now

grad school starts soon, those hardcore workouts are paying off, career opportunities are now within reach for me to chase down, everything is falling into place, I have so much to be thankful for, & I am happy, happy, happy (as always).

All I'm missing is Y-O-U. But until our worlds collide: Me, Myself, & I are gonna keep making the most of this amazing life:)

P.S...

Me + You = Can you even imagine how much awesomeness is gonna be in our relationship?!!! We're going places & kicking butt, you & me against the world (& we'll win of course). ok, enough of these random-but-true facts. Back to Work!!!

Adventure!!!!!

I don't need someone to carry the bags, or take the pictures, or pay the tab, or wave down a taxi...I can take care of that myself. (but if you insist, of course I'll let you!)

I'm seeking a hand to squeeze at the excitement of taking in a view for the first time, a laugh to share caught up in the moment of wherever life takes us, a soul willing to run around with me to find all the beauty God has created, and above all, a heart & pair of eyes I wouldn't mind getting lost with.

No maps, no holding back... our life will be a beautiful, endless adventure. Get ready for the best adrenaline rush you've never even had yet;)
