Double tap if you have ever changed something about yourself not because you wanted to but because you thought it was expected. For years I allowed the picture that I had in my head of what a wife and mother should look like dictate my style. You see my nose ring? I got it when I was in St 6 (grade 8) so I have had it for longer than not having it. But then when I became a mother, I somehow thought it wasn’t acceptable any longer so I took it out. Flash forward a few years and it is back in because I realised that the best version of a mom that I can be is my own version. And that means piercings. I am really focusing on getting back to that place where I am happy and comfortable with myself. When I get there, I am getting another piercing. So if you see me with a bit more bling you will know that I have arrived ;-) Ladies, you gotta let go and let be! Just be yourself, since everyone else is already taken. Let us remind each other that we are perfect and beautiful and if society disagrees then screw them all! #honestmotherhood #girlstopapologising #thepursuitofjoy #reclaimthehappy #captureyourstyle #alifeleadsimply #support #women #womenempowerment #womenpower #womensday #womensmonth #womensdaygiveaway #womensdayeveryday #balanceforbetter #IWD2019 #loveyourself #girlpower #instawomen #instahappy #balanceisthekey #youareenough #wisdom #ipreview via @preview.app (at Pretoria, South Africa) https://www.instagram.com/p/B00IstxpApZ/?igshid=2o09wylz2nde
