EFCC ARRESTS FCT MINISTER'S AIDE FOR N60m LAND FRAUD.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has, on Thursday, arrested the former Chief of Staff to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Gital over an alleged land fraud in the FCT valued at N60m.

However, he wasn’t the only person accused of the said crime as the EFCC has also arrested the Deputy Director, Mass Housing at the Federal Capital Development Authority, Sani Abba.

As announced by the Head, Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, the men were arraigned before the high Court of Justice Akpaza on a four count charge which included criminal breach of trust, obtaining by false pretence and abuse of office.

The victim of the alleged fraud is the Managing Director of Visioni and Strauss Nigeria Limited, Chief Duru Ejiogu. The case has been adjourned till June 4 for hearing.
