2) what work of yours, if any, are you the most embarrassed about existing?

Hahaaa well I’m going to be cheap and cowardly and say that I’ve been posting fic since middle school and most of that stuff is still out there in the world under a different name than I post under now, so…some of that. Not even all of it, I remember contextually who I was at the time and it definitely helped contribute to who I’ve become since, but there are a few OC-heavy things I put out there that other people definitely wouldn’t even have had context for. That said, I don’t consider it cringey? Or rather I’m not a huge fan of the term cringey, especially for that demographic. Y’know, I was young and excited and at the time it gave me a lot of joy, even if it wasn’t objectively…good, at all. But it provided a foundation and sometimes that’s just how you start! …But I am not giving you that user name.

20) do you write in long sit-down sessions or in little spurts?

Hmm, I’m…not a fast writer, so I guess I’ll say little spurts? My motivation is unfortunately fickle and inconsistent (something I need to work on) so while I do have the occasional roll the times I’ve actually finished a draft of something in one sitting are few and in-between. But it has gotten me through the occasional block!

I’m terrible at picking favorites for anything, especially when it comes to taking a step back and being like “hey I did pretty good on this one” but I am All About the pithy dialogue so I guess I’ll go for one of the longest, most rambling pieces of dialogue I’ve posted vaguely recently (complete with foreshadowing I hope to get to eventually…)

“Right. It’s Summer. But anyway,” she continued, finally dredging up some charisma as she flashed him an earnest smile with wide, pleading eyes, “Qrow? Right? Have you ever had one of those moments where that well-meaning but controlling someone in your life tells you not to do something, and normally yeah, it’d be a no-brainer, doing the thing would be a terrible idea but you’re also annoyed that they feel the need to state the obvious and micromanage you because hello, you’re not ten anymore, you can make your own life choices, so when an opportunity presents itself you go ‘what are they talking about, I can totally pull this off if I’m smart about it,’ and you end up doing it and surprise! It all goes horribly wrong and now you’re stuck knowing they were right but you don’t want them to know they were right because the last thing you need when you screw up is to hear them say ‘I told you so’?”(Don’t Shoot the Messenger, Chapter 3)
