Michigan & Chicago, updated
It’s time for an update about my tour. My Chicago leg ended quite differently to what was expected, much to my happiness. Certain desired experiences were actually fulfilled, and the end of the trip wrapped up so nicely. I met such lovely people there, and I am proud of myself for being proactive and confident in my actions, leading to a really wonderful time overall. I do hope my path crosses with those I spent time with again.
I left the windy city for colder pastures, due east into the state of Michigan by train. Again, like Chicago, I was met with selfless generosity and kindness of those I visited. I was welcomed and loved by everyone, to which I reciprocated.
It is a daunting thing, to travel across to the other side of the earth to meet someone you have never seen in person. It is the ability of our age to start and develop great fondnesses for people who are so far away from you physically, but it is a great gift to have, particularly when such relationships are successes. I pat myself on the back for being courageous, and for not getting dismembered in some rural village. I should taken a bit more initiative though, and maybe been more outspoken with feelings and such, but I came into this holiday with an open mind, to ensure I did not have any self-fabricated calamity.
As we met through this site, I will only assume you will read this, but I will say that you are such a special guy, and it was so lovely of you to have me as your guest. It was such a pleasure to be with you in person, where I could really see your beauty, kindness, humour, and all-around loveliness come to life. I hope to see you again soon, as well. I am so fond of you, and hope you are of me too.
It was quite a juxtaposition, going from major metropolis to tiny town, but I enjoyed it no less. I was wooed by the charms of the countryside, and the lovely people there. It was so cold, but I hope to retain the warmth of everyone and take it home with me.
Next is New York, the planetary capital. So much fun to be had!
