i also didnt like how they forced a romatic attraction between Inaho and Asseylum. It didnt make any sense and there was really no need to put it in the show. Slaine’s crush on Asseylum was acceptable for me because it was more realistic for Slaine to like her since they’ve known each other for more longer than Inaho and Asseylum did. Just ugh. No. No romance please. These two didnt need that.

They just added that romance so Inaho would have a reason to be so engrossed into saving the princess and find out what happened to her. That’s pretty much his whole character in the second season.

I’m okay with the ending

Like, the ending of Aldnoah.Zero was okay. It wasnt terrible but it wasnt fantastic also.

There are some questions that i still have (and that a lot of people in this fandom have)

What was Dr. Troyard’s research? They never actually fucking explained how he found aldnoah and why he gave it to Vers in the first place. I can understand why he had to go to Vers because their technology was more advanced than earth but can you at least give us an OVA about how he found aldnoah and how he transferred it to the bloodline of the Vers Empire.

How long has it actually been since the “peace” ending? I say like about 6 months or something, or maybe more. Judging from how long it would take them to build those aldnoah energy things and from Slaine’s hair.

Why didnt they ever show us how people who lived in Mars looked? We dont get to see how the people living in that planet actually live? Does Asseylum even know what’s going on in her own planet? Do people even live in Mars at all, or are they all living somewhere on that moonbase thing (but judging from the fact when Slaine told everyone in the moonbase to flee, they aren’t living there)

A lot of people in the tag keep asking where Princess Lemrina is and I say that she’s right here

Also I think that Harklight may actually be dead. I kind of had a theory that he was going to die for Slaine ever since he was introduced and also how he acted with Slaine throughout the season. He did deeply care about Slaine and  I also really liked him a lot.

But it doesnt take guns for them to be able to beat Vers’ machines.

I do have a theory that maybe Harklight is alive and that he’s with Princess Lemrina but it may not be possible.

I really like when people started to quote what Lemrina said about how Asseylum doesnt know the feelings that someone has after they are “saved”. Slaine would have been better off dead (though i would be a crying mess because he is my favorite character), but this ending is also realistic because this happends in war all the time. Make the enemy suffer for all their life because all they want to do is die but the heroes wont allow that.

Lemrina and Slaine were both very pitiful characters and I actually really liked them both. I liked Asseylum in the first season but in this second season, she was just a real bitch. She really doesnt understand anything about anyone and only did care for the peace between Vers and Earth. We never actually saw her talk about the people living in Mars or how she never actually thought about the people in Mars at all. All she wanted was peace. Now that she got it, and how she also got to see Earth, she is “content”. WHAT ABOUT YOUR PEOPLE DAMMIT. YOU’RE THE EMPRESS, YOUR SUPPOSED TO CARE ABOUT YOUR PEOPLE FIRST THEN PEACE. But she was the princess, that’s why she is very naive about these things.

I agree with the people in the tag who say that Slaine’s plan would have succeeded if Asseylum didnt wake up or if Lemrina actually killed her when she as in the pod.

But what pisses me off the most is that all of this and i mean ALL OF SEASON 2 wouldnt have happened if Inaho had accepted Slaine into Deucalion in Season 1 Episode 7

They worked really well together in this episode and Inaho just had to shoot him. Inaho is actually all to blame for what happened in my opinion.

In the beginning of the second season, I thought that Slaine and Inaho were going to both die but they ended up both living. Though now Slaine has nothing and Inaho has everyone he needs. Slaine was left more miserable than he was in the first season. Which also pisses me off.

Slaine had to endure so much throughout both seasons and he is still left with nothing in the very end. Peace was built on the “death” of a young boy. My favorite character, was left to rot in prison and the only person to visit him is the “enemy”. Slaine was a very interesting character and I really liked his growth though he did end up going in the wrong path i guess. Inaho was interesting at first but then he started to get really boring and he’s just a now-it-all. Inaho is okay but his character isnt interesting at all. Just a regular old “hero”.

The animation of the show was fantastic, the music was awesome, character’s were somewhat interesting and plot was good. I would recommend this anime to people but be prepared to either be disappointed with the ending or be content with it. I dont think i’ve stated all of what i wanted to say but here you go. (it looks like im really hating on this ending but im not. it’s good but it just isnt great.)

Edit: Also Slaine wasn’t innocent at all. Some people are like “Slaine didnt do anything wrong”. He did do a lot of wrong things. He killed people to get to the top. He used people, like Lemrina, to get to where he was. He murdered Saazbaum to get into a higher rank once Saazbaum announced to everyone that he would be adopting Slaine as his “son”. Still, this made him a really intriguing character and he was waaay more developed that Inaho was. This season didnt even focus on Inaho at all. I barely noticed him.
