oh, i wasn’t aware of that. however, i did some research and was unable to find any articles or direct proof to confirm this !!! it would be amazing if you could either link me to a primary source or help me to find some substantiation to that claim, thanks !!!
A NOTE AND RULE CHANGE FOR THE FEW OF YOU PLAYING FACE CLAIMS THAT ARE 17 YEARS OLD: basically since you guys are playing face claims that are minors, it is in the best interest of the group as a whole that you refrain from posting smut or sexual inneuendo on the dash. since this isn’t a smut roleplay, that shouldn’t be too much of an issue, but i want it to be crystal clear that i won’t encourage smutting when you are playing a minor because it is illegal where i live, but if you feel it is absolutely necessary to do so, you can either do it in a chatzy or something or just this once, i will allow face claim changes for you to switch to someone 18+. see rule 11 on this page.
well, this shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone, but i am afraid that due to my busy schedule and overall lack of muse, i am going to be closing down this group to new applications. if you would like, you can continue to interact and use your characters elsewhere since they are your intellectual property.
i, however, will not be running this roleplay and will not be on to conduct maintenance on the group. this has been a decision that has been hard for me because i have wanted to keep this active and up and running, but after all of the hate anons i have received, stress from school and me actually trying to get my shit together in real life, it just isn’t practical for me to waste any more of you all’s time waiting for me to become more active again. and lately this has been more of a chore than a fun hobby and i am not going to force myself to put in all this work if i am not really feeling it anymore. plus, the ooc cliques were driving both me crazy and this roleplay straight to shit, let’s be honest.
i would like to request that while you can obviously create other groups about greek life { even at yale }, the structure and individual sororities and fraternities are technically my intellectual property as well as the details and set up of some of the tasks and events and i would appreciate it if you could respect my intellectual property. and that’s all that i will say about that. i’ll leave the page up though as is so that if you would like to do a 1x1 or multi muse to still play your characters, you can access all the data currently provided.

hey guys !!! so i haven’t posted in the gkrush:admin tag in ages, but i have a few really fun announcements & changes to talk about.
first of all, today is our two month anniversary of being open & going strong so yay, go us !!! this roleplay has been so exciting and dynamic and wonderful. go us for being active for two months & counting.
second of all, i made a { checklist } for all new, incoming members so that they will have a little bit more guidance & help with starting their time here in the roleplay.
thirdly, there has been a lot of talk about people ignoring starters, not getting a lot of notes, etc. & my one and only comment on the matter is that everyone should be going through the tags and responding to everyone else’s starters before your own. there should never be a shortage of interaction around here because there are at least 20 starters posted every day. so, by just replying to others’ starters you should be fine. that being said, i am not going to police how many starters everyone posts & whether or not you all actively go though the tags and reply to other people’s starters because i don’t have the time to stalk 130+ blogs fairly.
also, i plan on revamping the theme, housing blog & some other pages in the future. so be on the lookout.
awhile back, i answered a question about adding another sorority & fraternity, so the next time that we have only ten spots open in the roleplay, i will be adding one final sorority & fraternity into the mix.
finally, if you ever have any suggestions for tasks, events, face claims, or other ideas to jazz up the roleplay, just let me know !!!

I. SOME MORE { DETAILS;; }
per tradition, the first week back at school after winter break is greek week !!! essentially, greek week is one week where all of the sororities and fraternities compete to see who can raise the most money for charity. each day of the week will be devoted to a fraternity or sorority & each greek organization will be responsible for planning an event on their designated day to raise money for the charity of their choice. the president, vice president and social chair will be in charge of planning the event and letting me know the title and a short description of your event by { sunday january 4 }.
II. HOW IT’S GOING TO { **WORK } OOC
okay so the president, vp & social chair must pick out a charity and type of fundraiser and can send in a description that i will post on the events blog.
when it comes to the actual fundraiser, feel free to post starters each day in the gkrush:events tag pertaining to the charity event. for example if your organization is doing a bake sale, then you could post a starter selling the baked goods if your character is in the organization or purchasing them if your character isn’t.
this event depends on how much you guys put into it, so make sure you plan some fun & wild fundraisers !!!
III. THE { &&*SCHEDULE;; }
monday january 4 - { a color run & rave } hosted by;; kappa tau gamma
There’s only one way to start off Greek Week, and that’s with the Annual Kappa Tau Gamma Color Run! Known as the happiest 5k run on the planet, students pay just $50 to participate in the charitable run (this also covers the charge for a KTG Color Run t-shirt and sunglasses). Each participant is required to get at least three sponsors, paying a minimum of $10 per kilometer.
At each kilometer mark, volunteers from around the community, as well at the KTG pledges, will be coating the participants in different colors. The run will end in front of the Kappa Tau Gamma house, where there will be a color rave hosted in the backyard of the house, DJ’d by Scottish DJ Calvin Harris.
Important Information
- All those who don’t participate in the run will have to pay a $15 entry fee into the party
- Kappa Tau Gamma pledges are not allowed to participate in the run, for they will be working it
tuesday january 5 -{ a puppy adoption fair & party } hosted by;; pi kappa kappa
There will be an adoption fair for dogs and cats in the local area where drinks will be supplied by the pi kappa kappa brothers. Then later on there will be a “anything but clothes” blacklight party with a cover charge to raise money for charity.
wednesday january 6 - { a klr-nival } hosted by;; kappa lambda rho
Welcome to “Klr-nival” aka a carnival hosted by your favorite fraternity on campus!
Come to the KLR backyard to purchase tickets to either participate in the kissing booth manned by kappa lambda rho’s finest or maybe perhaps take out some pent up aggression on a klr member at the dunk tank. All ticket proceeds will be donated to Doctors Without Borders, a charity which funds doctors from the United States to travel to impoverished areas to practice medicine. Not satisfied with the dunk tank or kissing booth? Well, there will also be a miniature petting zoo manned with live animals.
There will also be traditional carnival foods like funnel cakes, nachos, lemonade, hot dogs and pretzels! The entrance fee is only $10 but tickets are $25 per ticket and each ticket gets you one kiss, one dunk tank shot, admission to the petting zoo as well as unlimited food and drink!

The Sigma Gamma Epsilon charity event for Saturday, January 10th will be a The Sigma Classic– a 3x3 basketball tournament, open to all. Tickets for participation will be $20. Admissions will be $10 for students and employees of Yale, $15 for alumni of Yale, $10 for children 12 and under, and $20 for all others who are unaffiliated with Yale. An apparel sale will immediately precede and follow the run, including t-shirts, crewnecks, and hoodies with a simple “ΣΓΕ for BGCNH” that can be worn during the tournament. We have partnered with the Subway and PepsiCo to provide food and refreshments from their owned flagships– including Pepsi, Frito-Lay, Naked Juice, Gatorade, and Aquafina. Celebrity guests, some participating in the tournament, include Ray Allen, Brook Lopez, Ryan Gomes, Rajon Rondo, and Mike Tyson. All proceeds of Subway, PepsiCo and the university will be donated to The Boys and Girls Club of New Haven.

well, as you could have probably predicted, we are going to be doing a secret santa gift exchange in the roleplay !!! it is going to be so much fun. everyone on campus who signs up will be matched with someone else and will be responsible for buying them a multitude of gifts over the course of the 4 days, december 19 to december 23. then on december 24 there will be a huge reveal where the list of secret santa assignments will be posted and you can get together with your secret santa and thank them for all the christmas cheer.
II. HOW IT’S GOING TO { **WORK } OOC
ok so in order to participate in the secret santa gift exchange, you need to first fill out { this form } before MIDNIGHT EST on SATURDAY DECEMBER 19. the form will be locked starting then so it’s super important that you sign up before saturday if you want to participate.
then during the day at some point on saturday, i will be sending each person who signed up who they will be buying gifts for as well as whatever information they provided on the form. { please make sure that your submit box is open }.
to preserve the surprise and keep from exposing your identity as their secret santa, { please submit all gifts for your person to the events blog via the submit box }. if you submit the gift through the main, i will delete it because i really don’t want a bunch of submit messages clogging up that inbox.
then as soon as i see the gift submission, i will go and submit it to whoever it is intended for. gifts may be in the form of a picture or a description or a mini para or whatever you’d like. when you get a gift, please post it on the dash with the event tag: gkrush:event and maybe even react to it if you’d like. you may also send as many gifts as you like. gift sending will end at MIDNIGHT ON DECEMBER 24. then at some point during the day on christmas eve, i will post the list of who had who for secret santa and that will count as “the reveal”.
