My norse Myth Addiction

I've been a fan of mythology since childhood. During my school years, I was very interested in Egyptian culture and also a little bit in mythology. Later, I became a fan of Greek mythology. But at some point, I came across so many stories of rape that I lost interest in it. The anime "Divine Gate" sparked my growing interest in Norse mythology. It also resonates with me more, as my country was once steeped in this mythology. Divine Gate is about a wish-granting gate that turns out to be a gateway to the apocalypse. A group of children, along with other mythological beings, want to prevent it. The Norse gods are their adversaries. I noticed that the anime is anything but lore-accurate. It's Loki and the GIANTS who wage war against the gods, thus bringing about an apocalypse. In the anime, gods, giants, and random heroes are all lumped together and declared to be gods. Anyway, I came up with the idea because Surt is also a god in the anime, so I named Logi as his father and Glöd as his mother.

It's mythologically incorrect, but not completely illogical either. Both are associated with fire and play a relatively large role in Norse mythology. Since I had already studied Hel through Kamigami no Asobi (Anime), my obsession with Norse mythology was then born. ~*~

But back to my idea of Logi und Glöd as Divine Gate-Characters. First, I focused on Logi. Appearance: Logi, like his son, has black hair and orange-red eyes. His hair are long and tied back in a loose ponytail. I gave him horns to emphasize his Youtunn roots and to distinguish him from the Aesir. Even though he is referred to as God. He's muscular and quite tall. But also very beautyful. He usually wears jackets or coats with fur collars and clothing in black and red.

Character: His presence is rather intimidating. He seems cold, but is actually quite serious, unemotional and stoic. But he has a warm heart, loves und protects his family above all else. Background: His name is called Logi (fire, flame, blaze) or Halogi (high flame). He is a son of the joutunn Fornjotr and the brother of Aegir or Hler (sea) and Kari (wind). Logi married fire giantess Glöd and she gave birth to their beautiful children - Surt, Eisa and Eimyrja. He rules over the fire and is the first king of Halogaland (northern Norway), and the ancestor of its royal line, all of whom are known for their muscular physique and stunning beauty. The Planet Saturn was namend after him. ~*~ Appearance: When I thought of Glöd, I pictured white long wavy hair (ash) and red eyes (fiery glimmer). Glöd's father, Grímr, is described as a Joutunn (Giant), while her mother, Alvör, is a light elf. That's why I gave her pointy ears and pale skin to emphasize this. Her clothing is white with red patterns.

Character: Glöd is the complete opposite of her husband in terms of personality. She is cheerful, childlike, and carefree. She loves her family more than anything.

Background: Glöd (glowing Embers) is described as both a giantess and a goddess. She is the personification of embers. Her parents are Grimr (Youtunn) and Alvör (Light Elf). She is the wife of Logi, although she is often mistaken for Loki's wife, and the mother of Surtr, Eisa and Eimyrja. Furthermore, she is also the Queen of Halogaland and the ancestor of its royal line, all of whom are known for their muscular physique and stunning beauty.

~*~ Appearance: I didn't give much thought to Eisa and Eimyrja's appearance, except that they were supposed to be twins. Since Odin is female in Divine Gate, I wanted to balance things out by including a male in the family, so I changed Eisa's gender from female to male. Both have their mother's hair color, but their hair is straight, like their father's. They also inherited their father's eye color. They have neither elf ears nor horns. They like to wear clothing with fur collars in white and red.

Character: Both are rather serious and reserved. They are extremely distrustful of strangers. As twins, they have a bond that allows them to strongly perceive each other's moods and finish each other's sentences. Background: Not much is known about the two of them, except that Logi and Glöd are their parents, and their spouses, Veseti and Vífill, apparently kidnapped them in order to marry them. Eimyrja has a child with Vifill. Eisa, on the other hand, is childless. In my opinion, that makes sense, since Eisa is a man and can't have children. - Everything I make up has more logic than what actually happens in Divine Gate. lol

Håller spänningen vid liv - Liws lust

Det jag älskade under singelåren var spänningen. Ni vet den där spänningen i att möta en ny person, där båda är ömsesidigt nyfikna och småkåta på varandra och man inte riktigt vet hur det ska sluta.

Visst kan man sakna det spännande och flirtiga dejtandet man hade när man var singel. Nog en stor anledning till att jag älskar att se dejtingprogram. Otroligt nog får jag nu återuppleva det, fast som par. Och det är minst lika häftigt. 😊😍
