          they were all in mourning -- he could feel it. the ring filled with ghosts , present in all the empty spaces. he had to admit that it was getting easier. every day. a little easier. his hands were scarring over and the pain of them , like the that of loss , was getting more and more manageable. though he knew his healing process was simpler than some. he didn’t know echo , not beyond the stories he’d heard and his brief stint as hostage. her part in both destructions of mount weather. her actions at the conclave. the disdain in bellamy’s voice was clear. but monty ? he couldn’t summon that anger , that grudge. hadn’t they all done such things ( and worse ) to protect their people ?
