Tove Lo - Glad He’s Gone (Lyric Video)

Tove Lo has a friend. That friend is me, Cristina. And Cristina has a guy on her mind all the time, constantly. In the video shown, they have placed the man on my mind into a statue for her to touch and play around with. This is what the man on my mind has been doing to me for the past three years, ever since I broke up with him. He is a Greek god, a work of art, standing in my way, but fortunately Tove Lo takes him and makes a joke out of him.

She goes on to twerk abundantly in front of the sunset that is really just a big canvas propped up like a fake art scene. Was my relationship with Victor anything except a big, beautiful fake art show?

The way she sways in her large, oversized jean jacket also portrays the amount of pain in this relationship she has with her friend. She’s trying to get the flies to buzz off with that hard fabric—are they going anywhere?

Tove Lo wrote the music to bounce up and down to create pep and beauty for her friend (Cristina) so she doesn’t do anything drastic. The video is filled with color in intonation and in the background of the sunset as well as her karaoke setup. Maybe if Cristina can forget about Victor and be glad that he’s gone, Cristina can get back into her own karaoke as well.
