"CYPRIA 8: THE SACRIFICE OF IPHIGENIA"
Agamemnon kills a deer sacred to Artemis and boasts of surpassing her, and her enraged winds trap the fleet until Calchas reveals that only Iphigenia's sacrifice will appease the goddess. Agamemnon lures his daughter to Aulis under the pretense of marrying Achilles, and despite a moment of regret, presses on after Menelaus reminds him the gods have already spoken. Iphigenia refuses Achilles's offer to defend her, choosing to face the altar with courage, and as her throat is slit the winds calm and Artemis accepts the sacrifice, securing Agamemnon's command. The fleets set sail at once, leaving Clytemnestra inconsolable on the shore, vowing that she will never forget this betrayal.

Can we see more of humming bird Hermes please??? I love him so much!
here, you are welcome
Seriously has no one considered Goth Apollo
He's the god of music, the goth subculture is a music subcultures
He's well known for his bisexuality, and goth is very inclusive to the queer community.
He dresses really femininely, his famous hair bow is more commonly worn by women, much like how goth men wear traditionally feminine things like makeup, long hair, skirts and corsets occasionally
His love life is marred with tragedy that makes for the subject of amazing goth music.
His son is Orpheus, literally one of the most hard core goth stories you can think of
Crows
Swans
He's the plague god, much of the goth aesthetic is based in the Victorian perception of illness
While he is often depicted as blonde, blonde goths exist. Also I will fold to any brunette Apollo any day of the week for all eternity.
It be so fucking funny that a god of the sun, you'd expect him to be this Golden retriever boy, pulls up in all black, elaborate makeup and dreary visage. Helios would probably be the golden man with tho.
Artemis is his twin and people really need to utilize that idea that they are more similar than you think
He just can tbh, he's a god, he can choose to fit or not fit y'all's expectations. But there's no pain in expanding the realm of his depictions.

Lighthouse were built as a monument to the Athenide.
Perse was often seen holding a lantern when guiding the dead of the sea to the underworld. The lantern was a gift from Apollo a little bit of his sun's light trapped in glass that would let you see in the darkest part of the oceans water. The sailors souls would see the light and instinctively move towards it knowing it was safety.
Perse's light was see as a symbol of safety and comfort. When a new temple was being built the priest decided to added a light to the top of the temple as a tribute to the Athenide Psychopompa. Sailor's would use the light from the temple to dodge the rocks not far from shore.
Soon lights where added on top of all the Athenide's temples as tribute. In later times becoming what is now known as Lighthouses.

Here’s my take on Iris, Greek goddess of the rainbow 🌈
So happy with how she turned out 🩷
-She's got no neck. She's got absolutely no neck.
