Good times at The Good Life Experience
Saturday saw The very first Good Life Experience at Hawarden Farm Estate in Flintshire. Curated by Cerys Matthews and Charlie and Caroline Gladstone it was an extremely well put together festival of culture, food and the great outdoors. I stepped in for Kate Rew and the Outdoor Swimming Society to speak in The Great Outdoors Tent about my work, experiences and my current project #swimsnowdonia which involves exploring, swimming and documenting all the Llyn's in Snowdonia.
The festival was full of passionate people sharing what they loved, be it music, poetry, food, drinks, skills, creativity, or even just their passion for life! I felt warm inside to be part of it and was really moved at the lovely comments from my listeners.
Aside from the lovely folk I met, the highlight for me was the awesome CC Smugglers who totally blew the top off the main tent with their energy and vibes. Totally amazing!
Cery Matthews and Charlie and Caroline Gladstone were fantastic hosts and undoubtedly gave the festival its welcoming, family feel. Already looking forward to next year!!
I stayed in the beautiful Gladstone Library and I urge anyone to visit if you have the opportunity, to spent some time in quiet contemplation in the library it is something quite extraordinary!
