Every artist collaborates. If you are drawing a tree from life you are collaborating with the tree. The tree gladly poses for you keeping its roots planted. For my work I have been blessed to be granted permission to use various references in my work from friends and art photographers around the world. I am learning about birds thru the eyes of others. This gives me a sense of community and belonging. I give thanks each day to all these creators that give me permission to express their art nature photography thru my art. I am not a world traveler and have never even braved a freeway. You each allow me to learn about birds and to travel all over the world thru you.
