🥳 In honor of passing the 3,000 page member mark on our X page, here's a 1968 BMW / Glas 3000 V8 powered by a 3.0-liter triple-carbureted (three Solex 35 DDIST) V8 engine with 160 hp (119 kW) @ 5,100 rpm - 235 Nm / 173 ft. lbs. of torque @ 3,400 - 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 9 seconds with a top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h) - 418 units were produced between July of 1966 and May of 1968. It’s not so hard to understand why this rare car was called “Glaserati”: the designer of this car – Pietro frua who was also a known coachbuilder – was probably a bit lazy so the car looks something in the middle of his previous creation, the Quattroporte (front), and another Maserati by Vignale, the Sebring (side).
