James Little's vibrant new artwork "Radiant Memories" (2020) brings a fresh aesthetic to the LIRR Jamaica station. Intricate layers of colored lines form flat gradated blocks of color in glass, creating a sense of animation as the light changes throughout the day. Glasmalerei Peters Studios translated Little's meticulous paintings onto large glass panels using multiple layers of airbrushed and hand-painted colored enamels and silver stains, as well as hand-cut stencils. Composed of 33 laminated glass panels, within the enclosure that connects the new Brooklyn-bound platform with the JFK AirTrain, central LIRR passage and a portal bridge at the west end of the platform, "Radiant Memories" is #MTAArts largest installation on Long Island.
