How long do you think it will take for marijuana to be legal and in stores?
Here’s your answer:
Trudeau said legalization could happen anywhere from a month to "a year or two" into a Liberal government, but he would make sure the process gets underway shortly after taking power.
When does Trudeau get sworn in?
I’ve heard that anywhere from days to 2 weeks.
So how much will this long election campaign cost?
Liberal MP Marc Garneau says it will cost $125 million more, but I don’t know where he’s getting his figures from.
Why do people like the conservatives so much?
The appearance of competence on economic issues, low taxes, focus on ‘family issues’ and patriotism to garner votes.
A lot of these things are deceptive, as the party does not really make clear that in order to balance these budgets and lower taxes, in the process they’re cutting social programs through austerity. You may be paying a bit less, but in the process a lot of people are losing access to essential services and inequality will grow.
Income splitting is a case in point. It will cost billions of dollars and mainly benefit the richest 15%, but it is advertised as a benefit for all families. Meanwhile Harper is cutting 36 billion dollars from healthcare funding to the provinces. This will lead to job losses, longer wait times, and less up to date medical equipment.
I'm thinking of voting liberal this year. Can you tell me their position on tax, Israel and other stuff I should know?
Taxes is very broad. I’m not sure I can answer that sufficiently.
Here are some articles on Trudeau’s view on Israel:
Trudeau falls in line with Harper’s stance on Gaza
Trudeau joins Harper, Blaney in condemning BDS
Trudeau’s policy on Israel is very similar to that of Stephen Harper. He’s what people would say as very ‘pro-israel’.
If you want more details, you’ll have to be more specific.

What's your opinion on Quebec separatism?
Not in favour of it, though I understand why Quebecois feel that way.
I previously answered this question, here.
how do you feel about the government's plans to make boycotting israel a hate crime?
Its a terrible thing. It stifles freedom of speech.
Opposing Israel’s oppressive policies is not anti-semitic what so ever. Many jews are opposed to the Israeli government’s policies as well.
Boycotting is a fundamental freedom for citizens in a country. Canadians did the same with Apartheid in South Africa. They should be allowed to do the same to Israel without fear of being jailed.
