Residential Private House Location: Fußach, Austria Architect : Baumschlager Eberle Architekten YEAR: 2008 The Nordwesthaus brief called for a combined boathouse and clubhouse that made a clear architectural statement. Baumschlager Eberle Architects created a concrete and glass cube that provides a fitting response to a site dominated by water and transforms at night into a light sculpture hovering on the lake. Basque Health Department Headquarters in Bilbao by Coll-Barreu Arquitectos. The project consists of a double facade with folded elements producing multiple views of the city, and changing its appearance depending on the point of view, the hour and the season. A double facade solves not only zoning rules requirements but also energetic, fire-resistant and acoustic insulation ones. This duplicated plane is not just a wrapper but a volume between Bilbao and the inner space. This element allows to breath the building.
