He went rogue after Cetheran’s death. Johnson, now Emperor, made a deal with him. He could go with Lilith (Lady Noirin) and remain locked up in a room and chained to the wall with her visiting him every so often or he could keep killing without a care for Johnson’s authority and be killed. 

Valefar’s been in that room for 3,000 years. Occasionally he bites/eats the people that Lilith sends in to wash him. He knows he’s not meant to, but he gets bored, and he enjoys the suffering of others still. So she had to punish him. I didn’t draw how bad it really got.:/

Keter feeds off devotion so his standing outside while Lilith punished Valefar let him feed deeply, because Valefar choses to remain in the room, to take the punishment, and to not complain about it. A, because Lilith is his goddess and lets him fuck her, and B, because the only way out is to ask for Lilith to kill him. He doesn’t like pain but he stays there for her, and now he’s being good at the promise of seeing Cetheran (Keter).

It's def worth starting over than investing the time and effort and money in cleaning the current mess...... and I dont think it ever truly goes away.... in the end you're in charge of it now SO

my dad went and ~cleaned it out~ as best as he could (which doesn’t look like very good TO BE QUITE HONEST) and im gonna go ahead and try setting it up to put some fish in it 

no new decorations or anything at this point, or new fish 

just a few guppies to cycle the tank and if they don’t start dying off, then ok, i’ll start adding new fish in a few weeks. 

but if they start dying or acting sick, im putting my foot down and trashing the whole tank and everything that was in it.
