Garden Inspirations https://glasspatharts.com/glass-path-blog/f/garden-inspirations Joyful Colors of Spring in the Middle of Winter Last April Barb asked for my advice on what color of yarn would be most versatile to use with her current three, pima cotton skeins of yarn (as seen in the Soft Knit Wash Cloth Set)—#11 lagoon, #41 chardonnay, #42 salmon rush. After a lot of blah-blah-blahhing about complementary proportionality, value and saturation pairings, color harmonies like analogous, triadic, split-complementary, etc. she wrote back: “Oh my! That’s a lot of info. Here’s a color chart. I’m thinking maybe the wasabi green…” Lol! Since ‘11 lagoon’ looked turquoise-adjacent to me, I recommended the blue-green family with wonderful yarn color names like Aruba, spearmint, wasabi, Monet, emerald. It being springtime in Virginia, these colors were on full display! I ran outside and snapped some pics of my garden for inspiration. S.M.
