Is Creepshow an adaptation? I know he wrote it, but I thought it was an original work.

From my understanding it is a combo of adapted short stories and originals, so I figured it counted.

I read them back when you first replied but held off making a post until I got a few more 😬 [insert Uriah Heep cobweb face guy here] The top comment especially is insightful; I had not considered that but you hit the nail on the head!

When I saw the comment on the Andy Daly patreon, my snappy answer was going to be along the lines of "I'd say you need to meet more women, but I can't think of one who deserves that." But I decided to keep the peace and not take the bait.

oh my gosh, thank you so much for reading through all of that! Maybe it’s just me, but for me, if a movie shares a name with a holiday, I’m going to think it was directed by Garry Marshall. You could have a baker making King Cakes and a rival baker making pączki, youth group teens who have to serve the soup supper, the guy who has to burn the stuff to make the ashes, maybe a choir teacher, a hot young pastor (Lutherans celebrate Ash Wednesday too), a youth group leader, Josh Hartnett reprising his 40 Days and 40 Nights role, the possibilities are endless
