“ Why do you hate Atlas so much? Did they do something to you? ” She asks, rolling right up to his feet. So many questions in a big new world that no one had prepared her for. But this guy -- he looked like he knew all the answers.

Rhys was rushing through the halls of Helios, long legs helping him move faster, focused solely on his ECHO device, trying to get the code finished since he was already late for work, his device probably had been on silent or something had happened to the volume but he was well rested for once in such a long while, fairly certain the bags that had been under his eyes were slightly less visible and while it felt wonderful his boss was going to kill him, well, if his boss even noticed he wasn’t in his cubicle or a Claptrap ratted on him but no one seemed to really take the small bots seriously and it’s pretty easy to bribe them to keep their mouth shut, and anyways he’s getting the work done on time, just not where he should be.

He rounds the corner sharply, still solely focused on scanning the code for any errors or mistyping when suddenly he’s colliding with another person, a grunt escaping him as he stumbled back slightly a scowl tugging at his lips, “Hey, watch where you’re going assh—“ the insult dies on his tongue as he finally looks up from his device, his eyes wide and all colour draining from his face as he immediately recognizes who he had bumped into and suddenly he wished he had just stayed in his apartment and called in sick.

A beat. Maya considered the question for just a  second before deciding that Jack couldn’t be she wasn’t actually being serious. She wasn’t  even going to reply to the question, letting it  hang in the air.  She couldn’t trust him as far as she could throw  him, so what ever he had to say would be taken with an entire shaker of salt. ❛ I need every single detail. Nothing left out. Then maybe, you have a deal. ❜

Rhys had not been paying the best of attention clearly, considering he neither, heard someone behind him till there was a hand on his shoulder or realized who the voice belonged to until he was wheeled around to face the owner of the voice. His cup of coffee nearly falling from his hands, the Cyber-arm clinging to the cup as to not drop it on Handsome-goddamn-Jack’s boots.

“I...uh-Handsome Jack sir! I-I Have my own work to-to attend to...” Come on Rhys you were better at talking than this! “B-but if you’d like me to-to join you, I’m-I’m sure I can find the time.”
