Hello my Gleeks!

We’ve got through “Opening Night” with glowing reviews in-universe for Miss Rachel Berry. Now it’s time to set our sights on the newest twist and turns the lives of the characters will take in “The Back-Up Plan“. In some newly released audio clips from the FYeahGleeClub Tumblr, we hear Rachel starting the newest step of her career by eyeing to dominate television. The clips have a meeting with her new agent and another meeting with FOX producers.

The only non-Rachel clip has Kurt convincing Blaine to perform with him for June Dolloway (special guest star Shirley MacLaine) who could help launch both of their careers.

We also have some lovely new pictures from the episodes thanks to Darren Criss News. The pictures mostly focus on Blaine Anderson performing both solo and with Kurt and charming June Dolloway.

  Can I throw my two cents out there and say that I kind of don’t like the outfits Kurt and Blaine are wearing for “The Story of My Life”? I can’t say why I don’t like it. But something is turning me off.

“The Back-Up Plan” airs April 29th at 8pm EST.

Glee Music Reaction 5.15

Put under a read more because SPOILERS

Colour Blind I heard yesterday and I love it. I really don't know anything about what happens with Cede's this episode, so I'm not attaching it to anything, but just as a song I enjoyed it.

Again, Amber kills it on You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman. She's got the perfect voice for that song and her cover is awesome. By far one of my favorites of this week.

Broadway Baby is fun, Lea and Darren sounded like they had fun doing it and I think it's going to be a great number to watch. Just a lot of fun.

No One is Alone. This is one of my FAVORITE songs from one of my favorite musicals and I knew this was going to be gorgeous. However, maybe it's just that I've been listening to the OBC recording a lot lately, but this cover fell flat for me. It sounded emotionless and too edited. Lea has a gorgeous voice, but it absolutely doesn't sound like it does on that recording naturally. It's over produced and that could be why for me it's suffering. I was severely underwhelmed by this.

Not While I'm Around. Again, I was underwhelmed. This is a song I've sung before in chorus, and the arrangement is similar, but again it sounded over produced and lacking emotion. I hope that when put in context in the episode I'll enjoy it more.

I'm Still Here. This, without a doubt is the winner of this weeks songs. Chris sounds fantastic and listening to him sing this made me smile. Someone in the tag pointed out that it's almost like a Rose's Turn moment again and I have to say I agree. I also will point out that this is not one of my favorite songs at all, but Chris made me like it and he was the only one I felt had any emotion at all in his singing.

Another quick note on Chris, it seems we're seeing a lot more of his lower range both this episode and in others. Especially in No One is Alone. This is good, because he does have that range and it's nice to hear, but it also sounds like he's reaching at times. I'm Still Here seemed to be right in the middle of his range and it sounded awesome.
